Abstract:
The invention is directed to an apparatus and process for the continuous fabrication of resin impregnated material webs in which low-solvent resin is extruded to form a film which is joined with the material web to form a layer formation, or the resin is spread on the material web. The layer formation is subsequently subjected to an area pressure. The apparatus including an extruder or a spreading device, and a continuously operating double band press exerting an area pressure.
Abstract:
The production of wood material particles into board or panels, such as chipboard, fiberboard, OSB panels, MDF panels and the like, involves coating the particles with a binder free of any hardener. The coated particles are deposited on a support surface in the form of a mat and then are compressed. While the particles are being compressed in a press, an acid or basic hardener in a gaseous phase or in a binary phase with a gaseous carrier agent, is introduced across and into the surface of the mat or directly into the interior mat. The compression of the mat can be performed either in a continuous double band press or a discontinuous single or multi-platen press. In a double band press, two press bands are arranged in opposte relation and the hardener is introduced into the mat in a wedge-shaped inlet zone between the press bands. The hardener flows through openings in the press band onto the surface of the mat. Conduits are located in pressure plates associated with the press and bores extend from the conduits to the pressure plate surfaces in contact with the mat.
Abstract:
In an electromagnetic switchgear with movable contact parts held in a movable contact support and forming, with fixed contact parts, opening and closing contacts, the contact support being elastically connected with the armature in such a way that, with the opening contact welded, an onward movement of the movable magnet part is possible without operation of the closing contact, the yoke of the magnet system is also suspended elastically in its closing direction and this elastic suspension, the elastic connection between the armature and contact support and the elasticity of the movable contact parts are matched to one another in such a way that with the opening contact welded and the magnet system closed, the spring excursions of the armature and yoke are approximately the same.
Abstract:
In a double band press apparatus having an upper and lower endless press belt, each rotatively engaged over a pair of drums defining a reaction zone between opposed outer sides thereof, pressure chambers are defined on the inner sides of each of the press belts for applying a fluid pressure to material passed through the reaction zone. The pressure chambers are bound on one side by pressure plates having a sealing structure extending circumferentially about the pressure chambers, the sealing structure consisting of a continuous sealing member encircling the pressure chamber and applied in sliding engagement with the inner side of the press belts, a one-piece support plate upon which the sealing members are mounted and a continuous resilient boot which extends coextensively with the sealing members and which applies a resilient force pressing the sealing members against the press belts.
Abstract:
For the continuous pressing of sheet material in a reaction zone between two endless, heated press belts of a double band press at increased process temperatures, the capability for operating at process temperatures which are higher than critical, permissible operating temperatures of the double band press is achieved by heating the press belts in such a way that they have the highest temperature at their outsides facing the sheet material with heat flow through the press belt being effected from the hot outer side to the opposite inner side of the press belt. The heat flow direction in the reaction zone which otherwise leads from a pressure plate to the press belt outer side is thus reversed and, heating members are arranged in the vicinity of the press belt on the outer side thereof shortly before the reaction zone.
Abstract:
A numerically controlled writing instrument is equipped with a carriage, movable on a writing plane, with drives for a stylus which converts the path information to writing movements, in which the control of the device is equipped with a unit for programming of self-defined characters and symbols by the user in a memory (RAM) which transfers the characters into an additional, electrically recordable and erasable memory which is connected with the control of the device from where the characters are available and can be called up for reading or writing. The writing instrument makes possible in a particularly advantageous manner a fast character definition, low in errors, even by auxiliary personnel not trained in programming.
Abstract:
In the continuous production of laminates having a texture embossed onto the surface thereof, a pair of resin treated layered webs are brought together at equal speed and an embossed carrier member having a negative of the texture to be embossed thereon is fed between the webs while being unwound from a supply roll. The layered structure formed of the two webs and the carrier member is subjected to compression with subsequent cooling whereupon the outer sides of the laminates are roughened and the webs are formed with a positively embossed or textured surface and are detached from the carrier member and wound on rolls or cut into panels and stacked while the carrier member is simultaneously taken up upon a takeup roll or the like. The carrier member may be moved independently of the webs, i.e., in a reverse direction and the apparatus for manufacturing the webs with the embossed surfaces may comprise a continuously operating double belt press, a spray water cooling system, a grinding station, an unwinding unit with supply rolls, a winding station with rolls, a panel cutting station, a control cabinet having a data terminal and a texturing system consisting of the carrier member, embossing foil rolls and an embossing foil takeup coil.
Abstract:
A device for supporting press belts on a roller-supported double belt press for applying support pressure includes a roller bed, press belts arranged to pass over the roller bed, and a seal between the roller bed and the press belts. The roller bed includes a heating plate with a plurality of laterally spaced support bearing strips located on the heating plate and extending in the direction of movement of the press belts over the roller bed. Shafts extend through spaced openings in the support bearing strips with rollers axially serially arranged on the shafts. Rollers on adjacent shafts are closely spaced apart and are axially offset relative to one another. Filling bodies are positioned between laterally adjacent rollers. Narrow gaps are provided between the rollers and the support bearing strips, between the filling bodies and the press belts, and between the rollers and the heating plate so that the lubricant can be moved through the gaps from the inlet side to the outlet side of the roller bed.
Abstract:
An automatic drafting device has a carriage with toothed wheels in meshed engagement with toothed racks extending across a planar support surface. A pressure regulation device is mounted on the carriage and regulates the pressure applied to a stylus holder held by the device. The stylus holder containing a writing instrument can be lifted and lowered by a direct current motor with an eccentric disc. The writing tip of the instrument held in the stylus holder, when not in use, is supported on a soft resilient material, such as rubber, to form a seal preventing air from reaching the tip. When the writing instrument is lifted off the resilient material it is ready to write.
Abstract:
An electrically operated driving device includes a bell type armature motor with a hollow shaft containing an internal thread. An axially extending threaded spindle is located within and in threaded engagement with the shaft. The rotation of the hollow shaft is transformed into liner motion effected by the spindle. The movement of the threaded spindle relative to the hollow shaft can afford a different speed and/or a different direction of rotation. The armature is of the iron-free or ironless type. The device operates at the least weight almost inertialess, and converts the produced power without significant friction losses and it can be used in a very limited space.
