Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of preparing a polymer, which includes: adding a first reaction solution including an aqueous solvent and a monomer mixture including an alkyl-substituted aromatic vinyl-based monomer, an alkyl-unsubstituted aromatic vinyl-based monomer, and a vinyl cyanide-based monomer to a reactor and initiating polymerization; and performing polymerization by continuously adding an alkyl-substituted aromatic vinyl-based monomer to the reactor, wherein the first reaction solution satisfies Expression 1 (see the description of the invention).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing a thermoplastic copolymer using monomer droplets, a thermoplastic copolymer prepared therefrom and a thermoplastic resin composition including the same. In the preparation method, monomer droplets including an aromatic vinyl-based monomer are injected after reaching a polymerization conversion ratio of 10% to participate in the reaction after initiating polymerization, and a thermoplastic copolymer having an increased average particle diameter may be prepared in high yield.

More particularly, the present invention relates to a method of preparing a thermoplastic resin, the method including A) a step of coagulating an emulsion-polymerized latex with an acid; B) a step of treating the coagulated aggregate (slurry) with a base, followed by dehydration; and C) a step of treating the dehydrated wet powder with an acid, followed by dehydration. According to the present disclosure, provided are a thermoplastic resin composition having superior overall property balance, color, and transparency, and being applicable to products that are exposed to high-temperature water or should be sterilized, due to excellent moist-heat resistance thereof, a method of preparing the same, and a molded product comprising the same.

Abstract: Provided is a method of preparing a copolymer which includes 1) initiating polymerization by batch-adding an aromatic vinyl-based monomer and a vinyl cyan-based monomer to a reactor; and 2) performing polymerization by continuously adding an aromatic vinyl-based monomer to the reactor at a predetermined rate after the initiation of polymerization, wherein the continuous addition of the aromatic vinyl-based monomer is initiated when a polymerization conversion rate is 10% or less and terminated when a polymerization conversion rate is between 80 and 90%, and step 2) includes a first temperature phase and a second temperature phase, each of which maintains a constant temperature, wherein a temperature of the second temperature phase is higher than that of the first temperature phase, and thereby a copolymer with a small standard deviation for a vinyl cyan-based unit composition and excellent transparency may be prepared.
