Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of fabricating a rear plate in a plasma display panel enabling to reduce the steps of a process, a process time, and the generation of dust. The present invention includes the steps of forming a complex functional sheet by sheeting a glazing material and a barrier rib material, attaching the complex functional sheet to a substrate, and pressing the complex functional sheet so as to form barrier ribs.

A method of fabricating a lower substrate of a Plasma Display Panel (PDP) includes the steps of preparing a secondary green sheet having larger amount than a first green sheet containing organic material, combining the first and second green sheets on the metal substrate by laminating the sheets, forming an electrode on the second green sheet, forming an electrode passivation layer on the second green sheet and shaping a separating wall by pressurizing the first and second green sheets to be metallic pattern having a groove.

Disclosed is a method of fabricating barrier ribs in a plasma display panel using photosensitive glass powder includes the steps of preparing photosensitive glass powder by reducing a photosensitive glass material to fine powder, putting the photosensitive glass powder or the photosensitive glass powder mixed with a UV-ray transmitting organic material in a mold, aligning a photomask over the photosensitive glass powder and carrying out exposure thereon, carrying out first and second thermal treatment on the photosensitive glass powder so as to generate different crystalline phases at exposed and non-exposed portions, respectively, and forming barrier ribs by etching the portion where the crystalline phase is generated.
