Abstract: A method of producing Portland cement includes the steps of: preparing a raw material of the Portland cement; preparing Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) ash; mixing the raw material and the MSW ash to obtain a mixture; feeding the mixture into a kiln; and operating the kiln to obtain the Portland cement. In the step of mixing the raw material and the MSW ash, the raw material may be mixed with the MSW ash, so that a weight% of the MSW ash is within a range of 1% to 60%. The method of producing Portland cement may further include the step of analyzing the MSW ash to determine a composition thereof, so that the raw material may be mixed with the MSW ash according to the composition of the MSW ash.
