Abstract: An outer cutting blade for use with electric dry shavers employing rotary type inner cutting blade, which comprises a plurality of spiral rib portions respectively extending from the center to the vicinity of outer periphery of the blade, and a plurality of hair inlet holes provided between the respective adjacent ones of said spiral rib portions. The holes are so arranged that their longitudinal direction will substantially coincide with the radial direction of the blade.

Abstract: A perforated outer blade for reciprocating type electric shaver having an improved new pattern of hair inlet holes is provided. In a flat perforated thin metal plate of rectangular outline, a number of rows of generally slit-shaped hair inlet holes is formed between adjacent ones of a plurality of wavy ribs which are out of phase and generally longitudinally extending along axes spaced generally parallel to one another, with the lengthwise dimension of the holes varying depending on varying spacing between the wavy ribs. The holes in the same row are in two groups in which the lengthwise axes of the holes are slightly angled with respect to the rib axes at respectively different orientations.

Abstract: A magnetic escapement including a rotor driven by an external force, and escape wheel made of a magnetic material and having along its periphery radially extending magnetic teeth, said escape wheel being coupled through a coil spring to the rotor, and an oscillator having a magnetic pole piece secured at the end of one of its tines and coupled magnetically to the escape wheel teeth. The oscillator is preferably formed in a W-shape and supported at a point near its center of gravity for extension parallel to the plane of the escape wheel, and its pole piece being magnetically coupled to that tooth of the escape wheel which is farthest from the supporting point. A driving circuit of a constant output for the rotor is provided, which includes a compensating transistor and a temperature compensating element for eliminating load and temperature variations.

Abstract: A blade assembly for electric dry shaver including an outer blade fixed to the shaver body and an inner blade rotated to shave hairs in cooperation with the outer blade, wherein the outer blade has a plurality of slits extending substantially in radial direction. The inner blade and the slits in the outer blade are so arranged that the intersection of their cutting edge lines will define an optimum hair holding or cutting angle which is constant at all positions over the blade surface. The slits in the outer blade may be arranged in a plurality of spiral arrays extending between the center and the outer periphery of the outer blade.
