Abstract: There is disclosed a threaded spindle and sleeve means including an externally threaded spindle means, a sleeve means surrounding the same and means for guiding the rotary and translatory movements of the spindle means relative to the sleeve means comprising at least one rolling contact bearing unit including inner and outer races, disposed to lie in a plane oblique to the axis of the spindle with the outer race secured in the interior of the sleeve means and the inner race engaging the thread of the spindle.
