Abstract: The separator comprises an outer body of a generally cylindrical shape, having a flat bottom, with an upper tangential gas inlet and an axial gas outlet, in addition to a cylindrical collecting area and a lower storage area for the separated phase. A recessed inner body with rotational symmetry is movably mounted vertically in the outer body, and cooperates with the opening of the upper tangential gas inlet and/or with the start of the axial gas outlet, in such a way as to make the cross section of the gas passage variable according to the height position of the inner body. Application to oil-gas separation, in particular for recovering oil particles contained in the recycled crankcase gases of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle.

Abstract: This separator device includes a separation chamber having an inlet and an outlet, an oil recovery chamber coupled to the separation chamber, an emitter electrode, a collector electrode, and an electronic unit connected to the emitter and collector electrodes, for during a charging phase, bringing the emitter electrode to a negative potential, so as to negatively charge oil drops, and bringing said at least one collector electrode to a zero or positive potential, so as to collect negatively charged oil drops. The separator device further includes a pressure-drop generating member in the separation chamber. The oil recovery chamber is coupled to the downstream portion of the separation chamber via a vacuuming port, so that the oil recovery chamber is depressed.
