Abstract:
An electronic spreadsheet system of the present invention includes a Formula Composer having a preferred interface and methods for assisting a user with composing spreadsheet formulas. The Composer provides the user with simultaneous formula outline and subexpression (text) views of a given formula. Using the formula outline view, the user may isolate a particular portion (subexpression) of a formula for editing. The Formula Composer also provides a Formula Expert, which is displayed by the system upon the user selecting a spreadsheet function in a formula being edited. In addition to providing specific information about the selected spreadsheet function, the Formula Expert provides input fields which are specific for the arguments of the selected function. Moreover, the Formula Expert includes mode expressions or "templates" for assisting users in inputting correct argument information. Using pattern matching technique, the system may employ the templates for eliminating common user input mistakes. Methods are described for synchronizing the various views of the Formula Composer, so that a modification to the formula being edited by the user in one view is automatically and immediately propagated to the other views. In this fashion, all views remain synchronized during formula editing, thus allowing the user to easily switch among the views.
Abstract:
A combination comprising a bed of a particulate copper-containing catalyst and, a guard bed of a particulate composition containing a) lead and/or at least one lead compound that reacts with hydrogen chloride and b) a support therefor. The lead compound is preferably lead nitrate. The combination is of particular utility for the low temperature shift reaction wherein carbon monoxide is reacted with steam to produce hydrogen and carbon dioxide.
Abstract:
A chromium-containing fluorination catalyst which comprises an activity-promoting amount of zinc or a compound of zinc, a process for increasing the activity of a chromium-containing fluorination catalyst by introducing an activity promoting amount of zinc or a compound of zinc to the catalyst and a process for the production of fluorinated hydrocarbons, in particular 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane which comprises reacting a hydrocarbon or a halogenated hydrocarbon, in particular 1-chloro-2,2,2-trifluoroethane with hydrogen fluoride in the vapour phase in the presence of the zinc-promoted chromium-containing catalyst.

Abstract:
An air bag and method of folding same, the air bag including material defining a top, front, and bottom portions and side panels and an open inlet end, comprising the steps of: securing the inlet end about a retainer, positioning the material so that is lays relatively flat with the top or bottom portion laid upon the folding surface, with the retainer slightly above the surface and with a first portion of the air bag extending to the right of the first end, a second portion extending to the left of the second end of the retainer a middle portion therebetween, folding over the first portion inwardly, toward a second fold line, about a first fold line defining a first folded over portion; folding over the first folded over portion outwardly toward the first fold line about the second fold line, continuing folding the first portion about the first and second fold lines, repeating the above steps to fold the second portion of the air bag, positioning the folded over portions resulting from the folding of the first and second portions of the air bag parallel to one another, and then forming a plurality of pleats and folds forming a pleated end and placing the pleated end adjacent the retainer. Folding material extending from the pleated end against the pleated end and securing the air bag in its folded configuration.

Abstract:
This invention relates to accessories for automobiles, vans, aircraft, minivans and station wagons and in particular to an improved partition comprised of a main support beam which requires no permanent attachment to the vehicle in which it is installed and from which is suspended generally from the roof to the floor transparent, semi-transparent or opaque curtain panels whose primary purpose is to substantially confine heated or cooled air or air containing smoke to a specific area of a vehicle. The device is adjustable, requiring no permanent alterations to fit the interior of a very large variety of vehicles of different descriptions, can be collapsed and folded while not in use and remains intact while being portable and can be installed anywhere along the length of a vehicle interior where trim moulding, flanges or extrusions of vehicle components or door hardware exists.
Abstract:
A curable composition which contains an alkenyl group containing polyorganosiloxane, an organosilicon compound having two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms, a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst, and a glass frit, which is suitable, upon cure, for use as a firewall sealant.
Abstract:
A method of folding an airbag is provided for limiting allowable travel of the first portion of the airbag face panel as the airbag is deployed and for causing complete filling of the airbag prior to engagement with a vehicle occupant. The airbag includes a first end adapted to envelop an inflator. The airbag is laid substantially flat, with the first portion of the airbag face panel closely adjacent the first end. The remainder of the airbag is subsequently collapsed over the first portion while the first portion remains closely adjacent the first end.
