Abstract:
A trailer for housing a mobile MRI system has magnetic shielding in the form of a plurality of sheets of magnetic material which are supported within the trailer, by a rigid supporting structure or frame. The layers are arranged in a stacked or laminar configuration with the laterally longest layer disposed inward of the remaining layers, such that the width of the gap between that layer and the exterior walls of the trailer at the lateral extremities of the shielding is greater than its width in a central area. The rigid frame maintains the gap and prevents contacting of the shielding and the trailer walls.
Abstract:
A non-porous hydrogen diffusion membrane, and the utilization thereof for e separation of hydrogen from gas mixtures. The non-porous hydrogen diffusion membrane distinguishes itself in that it is constituted of TiNi or TiAg with an atom ratio of about 1:1. These titanium alloys presently contain about 45 to 55% of atoms of one or the other of the components and are utilized at temperatures in excess of 300.degree. C. in the form of thin sheets of foils.
Abstract:
A connector, and coupling system, for portions of a belt for a conveyor system. A connector (10),(60) has inter-cooperating releasable coupling portions (11),(12),(61),(62). These can be provided at respective ends of edge portions of a conveyor belt to be coupled. The releasable coupling portion (male/female) of one belt portion is arranged to releasably couple to the corresponding respective coupling portion (female/male) for the end of a second belt portion. The connector system permits discrete sections of conveyor belt to be removed and replaced for maintenance or repair, or one or more belt sections to be removed or inserted to shorten or lengthen the belt as required.

Abstract:
A continuous haulage system, including a belt adapted to convey material, said belt being suspended from supporting means by hanging members located along each opposing longitudinal edge of said belt, wherein the hanging member has a hook-shaped cross-section.
