    Abstract: An ultrasonic transducer module including: piezoelectric elements, each being aligned in the same direction that is a longitudinal direction thereof; electrodes that are formed on surfaces of the respective piezoelectric elements; a substrate that includes wiring members extending from at least one surface of the substrate, the wiring members being connected one by one to the electrodes of the piezoelectric elements; and reinforcing layers that are provided on a surface of each of the wiring members, the surface being opposite to a surface of the corresponding wiring member where the corresponding electrode is connected.

    Abstract: An ultrasound endoscope, having a cable for connecting the ultrasound endoscope to a driving apparatus, includes an insertion section insertable into a subject, a plurality of transducers provided at a distal end portion, an electrode formed in each of the transducers, a wiring section connected to the electrode to electrically connect the electrode and the cable, and matching circuits, at least one of which is provided at an end of or partway in each of the wiring section. The electrode, the wiring section, and the matching circuits are provided in each of the plurality of transducers. The cable includes a core wire and an insulating layer enwrapping the core wire and functions as a matching section that matches electric impedance of each of the transducers between the plurality of transducers and the driving apparatus by varying a thickness or quality of material of the insulating layer.

    Abstract: A puncture treatment instrument for endoscope of the present invention includes: a concave portion with an opening on a distal end side and a bottom surface on a proximal end side; a holding portion adjacent to a proximal end of the concave portion, the holding portion allowing advancement and retraction of a needle; a puncture needle with a full length longer than a distance from a proximal end of the holding portion to a distal end of the concave portion; and a locking portion that generates resistance force in an advancing direction to stop retraction of the puncture needle when the puncture needle is retracted after the puncture needle is advanced to project into the concave portion from the holding portion.
