    Abstract: A working station for deposition of elementary semifinished products for building green tyres includes at least one feeding apparatus for feeding an elementary semifinished product, a forming drum, an anthropomorphic robotized arm associated with the forming drum, a control apparatus for sending movement commands to the anthropomorphic robotized arm in order to move the forming drum in a working zone, and a calibration device for calibrating the anthropomorphic robotized arm. The calibration device includes a base plate, a support rotatably mounted on the base plate, and a reference element translatably mounted on the support. The support is positionable in a plurality of first positions relative to the base plate and the reference element is positionable in a plurality of second positions relative to the support and is fixed into one position of the plurality of second positions by inserting at least one pin or screw into one slot of a plurality of slots on the cursor. The control apparatus is also configured for determining target coordinates, retrieving from a memory area a correction function, modifying the target coordinates by means of the correction function, and using processed coordinates for sending the movement commands.

    Abstract: A method for checking tyres. A shift is determined along an acquisition direction between an acquisition point on a surface of a tyre to be checked and a position occupied by the acquisition point following a rotation of the tyre about its rotation axis. A linear laser beam is projected on a linear portion of surface of the tyre, and propagates in a direction parallel to the acquisition direction. A matrix image of a matrix portion of surface of the tyre containing the linear portion of surface is acquired; the image containing a laser line reflected by the linear portion of surface. A sub-portion of the matrix image is determined as a function of the determined shift, containing the reflected laser line. The sub-portion of the matrix image is then processed to determine an elevation profile of the linear portion of surface.

    Abstract: A green pneumatic tyre is built on a rigid toroidal support externally having a forming surface of a conformation corresponding to the inner shape of a tyre. The green tyre engaged on the expandable toroidal support is introduced into a vulcanisation mould and submitted to a vulcanisation cycle. During vulcanisation, axial moving apart of side portions of the toroidal support is caused so as to press the beads and sidewalls of the tyre against the vulcanisation mould.

    Abstract: After a support structure (12) has been circumferentially positioned around an annular component (11) of a tyre (2), gripping elements (16) carried by the support structure (12) and circumferentially distributed around a central axis (X) are radially approached to the annular component (11) bringing into contact therewith a plurality of feeler pins (22), slidably carried by each of said gripping elements (16). Once contact is made, the radially approaching of the gripping elements (16) to the annular component (11) continues by sliding the gripping elements themselves along the feeler pins (22). All the feeler pins (22) can therefore come into contact with the annular component (11), copying the shape of the outer surface. The feeler pins (22) are then locked with respect to the gripping elements (16) in order to allow the removal of a support drum (10) from the annular component (11) and support the latter in the absence of normal stresses.

    Abstract: Methods for controlling curing apparatuses for tyre production, wherein the curing apparatuses are adapted to work on green tyres to obtain corresponding finished tyres by acquiring, through a processing unit, initial parameters describing at least one of the shape and dimensions of the finished tyres. The processing unit computes first parameters describing the green tyres, the first parameters having at least one parameter representative of an axial height of the green tyres; second parameters describing the curing apparatuses, the second parameters having one or more parameters representative of dimensions of the curing apparatuses; and third parameters as a function of the first parameters and the second parameters, the third parameters having one or more parameters representative of positions taken by movable members included in the curing apparatuses.     Abstract: The invention relates to a method and line for checking a tyre (2) for vehicle wheels in which it is provided to determine whether the tyre (2) is made according to a known model among a plurality of known models. If the tyre (2) is made according to a known model, the tyre (2) is inspected to search for any manufacturing defects by acquiring data representative of at least part of the surface of the tyre (2) through a set of image acquisition devices (282) set according to a setting associated with the known model of the tyre. If the tyre (2) is made according to an unknown model, the following steps are carried out in succession: •acquiring a first profile (300) of the tyre (2), wherein the acquisition of said first profile comprises acquiring at least a first part (301, 302) of the first profile (300) through first profile-acquisition devices (280) arranged according to predetermined positions; •determining a setting for second profile-acquisition devices (278) based on the first profile (300) acquired; •acquiring a second profile (400) of the tyre (2) through the second profile-acquisition devices (278) set according to the respective determined setting; •determining a setting for said set of image acquisition devices (282) based on the second profile (400) acquired; •cataloguing said unknown model as a known model and adding it to said plurality of known models, associating the setting thus determined therewith.
