Abstract: Water softening device (1) of the present disclosure includes water softening tank (3), neutralization tank (4), electrolytic tank (12), water pump (19), current value detector (18), and controller (17) that controls a regeneration treatment. In the regeneration treatment, controller (17) continues the regeneration treatment when a current value of water pump (19) detected by current value detector (18) is more than or equal to a predetermined value, and stops the regeneration treatment and shifts to a hardness component discharge treatment of discharging a hardness component in the water softening device to the outside of the water softening device when the current value of water pump (19) detected by current value detector (18) is less than the predetermined value.
