A control device (100) of an electric sealed compressor of the present invention comprises a power converter (30) which supplies electric power to an electric motor (5) of the electric sealed compressor; a driving circuit (27) which drives the power converter (30); abnormality detector (40) which detects abnormality in an abnormality detection region including the power converter (30) and the driving circuit (27); a controller (11) configured to output a control signal for driving the power converter to the driving circuit (27) and stop outputting the control signal in response to a signal (Fo signal) output from the abnormality detector (40), the signal indicating that the abnormality has been detected; and an auxiliary protection circuit (50) configured to deactivate the driving circuit (27) in response to the signal output from the abnormality detector (40), the signal indicating that the abnormality has been detected.

A simple inverter-controlled refrigerator includes temperature detector (17), constant speed main body control unit (12) whose power is turned on/off by temperature detector (17), and that can drive a constant speed compressor, inverter control unit (14) that is connected to constant speed main body control unit (12), and that is operated, based on a power on/off signal of constant speed main body control unit (12). And variable speed compressor (8) that is connected to inverter control unit (14), and that is controlled, based on an output from inverter control unit (14). Inverter control unit (14) has rotation speed setting unit (23) which is operated, based on the power on/off signal of constant speed main body control unit (12), and which is configured to set a rotation speed of variable speed compressor (8), and inverter drive circuit unit (24) which drives variable speed compressor (8) at the rotation speed set by rotation speed setting unit (23).

A compressor driving device includes: a controller that PWM drives a compressor; an inverter circuit unit that supplies power to an electric motor included in the compressor; a drive circuit that drives the inverter circuit unit according to a control signal; a voltage detector that detects a voltage that is output to the electric motor; and a current detector that detects a current that is output to the electric motor. When a product of a detection value of the voltage detector and a detection value of the current detector is greater than a predetermined comparison value, a duty ratio of the control signal is reduced to cause the input power supplied to the electric motor by the inverter circuit unit to have a predetermined input power level or less.
