    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a power reduction configuration associated with uplink communications performed by the UE within aggregated carriers, and a resource allocation for communicating one or more uplink messages across multiple aggregated carriers (e.g., uplink carrier aggregation (ULCA)). The UE may evaluate power reduction values that are to be used for the multiple aggregated carriers based on the power reduction configuration, and may determine throughput contributions for each respective carrier. Based on the power reduction values and the throughput contributions of the respective carriers, the UE may determine whether to continue operating according to the resource configuration for ULCA, or to revert to single-carrier communications.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive configuration information indicative of a carrier aggregation configuration associated with a first component carrier (CC) and a second CC. The UE may receive scheduling information indicative of at least one scheduled transmission during a transmission occasion associated with at least one of the first CC or the second CC. The UE may transmit, using at least one transmission power during the transmission occasion, at least one communication on the at least one of the first CC or the second CC. The at least one transmission power is based at least in part on a maximum transmission power limit and a power headroom (PHR) reference value that is determined independently of the maximum transmission power limit. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: A UE may calculate an allocation of a transmission power for a first uplink transmission on a first uplink channel and at least one second uplink transmission on at least one second uplink channel, the transmission power being allocated in each symbol of a plurality of symbols in a slot. The UE may detect a transmission power change in the allocation of the transmission power in the slot for at least one of the first uplink transmission or the at least one second uplink transmission. The UE may determine whether to adjust the allocation of the transmission power for the at least one of the first uplink transmission or the at least one second uplink transmission to eliminate the transmission power change in the slot for the at least one of the first uplink transmission or the at least one second uplink transmission.
