    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may allocate, from a first amount of energy associated with a first antenna group of the UE, a second amount of energy to a first antenna port of a plurality of antenna ports associated with the first antenna group. The UE may allocate, from the first amount of energy, a third amount of energy to a second antenna port of the plurality of antenna ports associated with the first antenna group. The UE may select, based at least in part on the second amount of energy and the third amount of energy, a set of antenna ports, of the plurality of antenna ports, for an uplink transmission. The UE may perform the uplink transmission using the selected set of antenna ports. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for beam selection in compliance with radio frequency (RF) exposure limits. A method that may be performed by a wireless device includes receiving, from another wireless device, a plurality of signals via a plurality of beams; measuring a received signal power for each of the beams, based on the received plurality of signals; determining a transmit power limit for each of the beams based at least in part on an RF exposure limit; determining an estimation of a signal quality at the other wireless device for each of the beams based at least in part the received signal powers and the transmit power limits; selecting one of the beams based on the estimations of the signal qualities for the beams; and transmitting a signal via the selected beam.

    Abstract: Various aspects related to control channel (e.g., PSCCH) scheduling/prioritizing techniques in wireless communications are described. When a UE may not be able to decode various PSCCH transmissions detected in a subframe, a subset of the PSCCHs may be selected for decoding based on the described methods. In accordance with one aspect, a UE may determine that a total number of PSCCH transmissions in a subframe is greater than a number of PSCCH transmissions that can be decoded within the subframe. Upon such a determination, the UE may select at least one PSCCH transmission in the subframe for decoding based on at least one of: retransmission information, information regarding a transmitting UE associated with the at least one PSCCH transmission, or scheduling priority history associated with a sub-channel carrying the at least one PSCCH transmission. The UE may then decode the at least one PSCCH transmission selected for decoding.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for operating a wireless device pursuant to radio frequency (RF) exposure compliance. A method that may be performed by a wireless device includes determining a transmit power associated with a transmission occasion and determining an energy usage associated with the transmission occasion based on the transmit power. The method also includes determining a total energy usage for a time window or a time interval associated with a RF exposure limit based on the energy usage associated with the transmission occasion. The method further includes transmitting a signal in the transmission occasion at the transmit power if the total energy usage satisfies an energy budget.
