Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a human body temperature sensor fabricated through inkjet material printer at room temperature in two steps deposition process. The proposed sensor consists of silver based interdigital electrode and carbon black film as sensing elements, which are sensitive towards human body temperature. In various embodiments, the present disclosure has two terminals that provide change in resistance against temperature detection. The change in resistance is directly proportional to the change in temperature i.e. positive temperature coefficient (PTC). Interdigital electrodes (IDE) fingers spacing were optimized for the high sensitivity and linear resistance behavior at a temperature range is recorded. The sensor response is very linear on the human body temperature readings.
In embodiments, a polyimide PI substrate in combination with Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) encapsulation layer is utilized in the device fabrication. The thermal sensing property of the carbon black film and PI substrate is exploited to detect human body temperature.
In embodiments, mass production of the sensor at very low cost can be done with screen printing technique in 3 steps. 1) Patterning of silver IDE, 2) deposition of carbon sensing film, and 3) PDMS encapsulating layer. The proposed sensor can be scaled according to the requirement from μm to cm size.-

Abstract: The present application provides an AI-based system for evaluating an individual's mindfulness (e.g., during prayer) based on video captured of the individual. In one example, the video may be captured via a smart phone. The individual's mindfulness may be continually evaluated from the captured video by observing the individual's body pose and movements. For instance, turning the individual's head to one side or moving the individual's eyes around rapidly can be signs of losing focus. Body pose and movement information of an individual may be derived from the video through AI-based video analytics. The user's body pose and movements may be checked against a set of predefined criteria for mindfulness, and an objective evaluation may be provided. Such evaluation can then be fed back to the individual, for example, to remind the individual whenever they lose focus during prayer.

Abstract: A facial mask configured to be worn by a user includes a mask substrate, a temperature and respiration rate sensor for monitoring the temperature and breathing rate of the user, a humidity sensor for monitoring the humidity of the breath of the user, and a cough sensor for monitoring the cough rate of the user. The sensors may be printed onto a sensor array substrate, which is then secured to the mask substrate. The sensors provide real-time monitoring of the temperature, the breathing rate, the humidity, and the cough rate of the user.

Abstract: A smart diaper system and methods for making the same. The system includes a diaper, an embedded sensor array, fixed to the diaper, including at least one sensor configured to detect a stimuli and a wireless transmission module operably connected to the embedded sensor array, configured to transmit a signal to a peripheral device. Additionally, in response to detecting a stimuli, the embedded sensor array communicates with the wireless transmission module to transmit a signal to the peripheral device corresponding to the detected stimuli. The method for manufacturing a smart diaper system includes providing a diaper, providing an embedded sensor array, including at least one sensor configured to detect a stimuli. Additionally, the embedded sensor array consists of screen printed sensors printed directly on a thermal transfer substrate and the thermal transfer substrate featuring the embedded sensor array becomes a fixed integral part of the diaper.
