Abstract: A device for dispensing a flowable medium, includes a housing having a cavity for receiving the flowable medium, a rod mounted in a bearing section of the housing, wherein the rod is movable by means of an actuator between a first end position and a second end position in an axial direction, a dispensing opening, opening into the cavity, for dispensing the flowable medium, wherein the rod has a sealing section, wherein the sealing section closes the dispensing opening in the first end position and is arranged at a distance from the dispensing opening in the second end position, a bellows seal for sealing off the bearing section from the cavity, wherein the rod passes through the bellows seal, wherein the bellows seal is mounted in a sealed manner on the rod and in a sealed manner on the housing, wherein a first section of the bellows seal is connected to the rod in a manner fixed relative to the rod, and a second section of the bellows seal is connected to the housing in a manner fixed relative to the housing, wherein the bellows seal has at least one compensating section for compensating an axial compression or extension of the bellows seal, wherein the compensating section projects radially relative to adjoining regions of the bellows seal, and having at least one channel, opening into the cavity, through which the flowable medium can flow into the cavity, wherein a projection of a center line of a channel section of the at least one channel, said channel section opening into the cavity, onto a projection plane formed perpendicularly to the axial direction forms a circle tangent of a circle formed concentrically with the rod.

Abstract: A sealing arrangement having a rod seal for sealing a cavity for a flowable medium in the region of a rod includes an output apparatus for discharging the flowable medium. The rod is movably supported in a housing to be displaced in an axial direction. The housing has a bearing portion, wherein the rod seal is supported in a fixed manner and wherein the rod extends through the bearing portion and the rod seal so that a first rod portion and a second rod portion are arranged at different sides of the bearing portion. The first rod portion is located at a side facing the cavity and the second rod portion is located at a side facing away from the cavity. The rod seal is arranged at the side of the bearing portion facing the first rod portion and has a first sealing lip and a second sealing lip that are spaced apart from each other in the axial direction and circumferentially contact the rod. The bearing portion facing the cavity has a discharge structure having a support face which circumferentially surrounds the rod. The rod seal is in abutment with the support face and the support face has a diameter which increases in the direction of the second rod portion.

Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing flowable substances, having a nozzle having an exit opening for dispensing the substances from the nozzle in the region of a free nozzle end, and a closure part that can be moved by means of a control element, disposed outside of the nozzle. The closure part releases the exit opening in an open position and closes the exit opening in a closed position. The control element has a frame, a transfer medium that brings about shape fit and has wheels, the transfer medium generates angle synchronicity of wheels mounted in the frame so as to pivot, a drive for the transfer medium, for pivoting the respective wheel in two opposite pivot directions, a bearing element for the closure part, mounted in wheels so as to pivot. The bearing element is mounted about pivot axles in the wheels, so as to pivot. The pivot axles are disposed in the frame parallel to the pivot axles of these wheels. The closure part is mounted in the bearing element.

Abstract: A device and method for dispensing a flowable medium has a housing with an interior space and a rod mounted in the housing that is movable between a first end position and a second end position and passes through a diaphragm mounted in a sealed manner in the housing radially on the outside and in the rod radially on the inside. The diaphragm divides the interior space into a first cavity and a second cavity separated from the first cavity in a fluid tight manner. The flowable medium can flow through at least one channel that opens into the first cavity, and is dispensed through a dispensing opening. A sealing section of the rod closes the dispensing opening in the first end position and is at a distance from the dispensing opening in the second end position. A pressure medium acts on the diaphragm in the second cavity.

Abstract: A device and method for dispensing a flowable medium which is an adhesive, a hot glue or a hot melt adhesive. The device has a housing with an interior space and a rod mounted in the housing, wherein the rod is movable by means of an actuator between a first end position and a second end position in an axial direction. The device comprises a diaphragm, wherein the rod passes through the diaphragm, wherein the diaphragm is mounted in a sealed manner in the housing radially on the outside and is mounted in a sealed manner in the rod radially on the inside, wherein the diaphragm divides the interior space into a first cavity and a second cavity and separates the first cavity from the second cavity in a fluid tight manner, and wherein the first cavity serves to hold the flowable medium. The device has at least one channel which opens into the first cavity and through which the flowable medium can flow into the first cavity, and a dispensing opening into the first cavity for dispensing the flowable medium, wherein the rod has a sealing section, and wherein the sealing section closes the dispensing opening in the first end position and is arranged at a distance from the dispensing opening in the second end position. A pressure medium acting on the diaphragm is arranged in the second cavity.

Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing flowable substances, having a nozzle having an exit opening for dispensing the substances from the nozzle, and a closure part movable by a control element, disposed outside of the nozzle, and configured to release the exit opening and close the exit opening, in the region of a closure part surface that faces the nozzle end. The closure part surface is delimited, in the movement direction of the closure part from the open position to the closed position, by a leading edge, in the leading direction. The closure part surface is disposed next to the nozzle and at a level upstream from the exit opening, with reference to the flow direction of the substances through the nozzle, in the open position. The closure part can be moved from the open position to the closed position by the control element, such that the leading edge of the closure part surface is moved past the free nozzle end.
