Abstract:
A method is disclosed for molecular imaging with the aid of a molecular probe, the latter containing a contrast enhancing component that is detectable via X-ray fluorescence radiation emitted thereby. A device contains an X-ray source for radiating with X-radiation an object provided with the molecular probe, as well as an X-ray receiver for receiving an X-ray fluorescence radiation emitted by the contrast enhancing component.
Abstract:
A vacuum plant, in particular for secondary metallurgy, having at least one ejector which is in communication with a closed container within which a metallurgical vessel which is to be placed under pressure can be brought. A second ejector is connected in series with the one ejector via an intermediate condenser having a cooling water feed line and a condensate discharge line. A final condenser and a suction pump are connected to the second ejector. A controllable condensate distributor member is provided in the condensate discharge line of the intermediate condenser. One line of the distributing member is connected to a heat exchanger and the other line is connected to the cooling water supply of a final condenser.
Abstract:
A radiation detector has a number of detector elements disposed following each other in the direction of incoming radiation propagation. The radiation detector is integrally constructed of a semiconductor body having spaced surfaces disposed substantially parallel to the radiation propagation direction. One of the surfaces has a p-conductive region immediately therebelow, and the other surface has an n-conductive region immediately therebelow. At least one of the surfaces is sub-divided by a region extending transversely to the radiation propagation direction which has a lower conductivity than the adjacent regions. This section divides the semiconductor body into different detector elements.
Abstract:
In a method for correcting pixels of an x-ray image data set, an x-ray exposure of a subject is acquired with an x-ray device that uses a storage film having a luminescent storage material layer serving as a radiation detector. The sensitivity of the luminescent storage material layer changes dependent on the accumulated x-ray radiation dose to which the storage layer has been exposed. After acquiring the x-ray exposure, the storage film is readout with a readout device and an x-ray image data set is generated that corresponds on a pixel-by-pixel basis with the x-ray exposure. Each pixel of the x-ray image data set is corrected with a correction value allocated to the corresponding pixel in the x-ray exposure, the correction value being adapted to the accumulated x-ray radiation dose to which the region of the storage film, containing the corresponding pixel, was exposed prior to acquiring the x-ray exposure.
Abstract:
An X-ray detector includes a scintillation crystal and a photosensor which is easily manipulated, easily positionable, and easy to contact to the scintillation crystal. The photosensor is arranged on a thin lamina having electrical contact surfaces. The lamina presses laterally against the scintillation crystal such that the photosensor covers the scintillation crystal, and the contact surfaces of the lamina are connected to corresponding contact surfaces on the scintillation crystal, or on a scintillation carrier.
Abstract:
A description is given of a network interface module, a device and a method for receiving video data. The network interface module comprises functional units (12, 14, 16) for processing a high frequency signal and for supplying a digital video signal. A module microprocessor (24) and a memory (28) for an operating program are provided on the module. The module micro-processor (24) receives control commands via an interface (30) during running of the operating program and actuates the functional units (12, 14, 16) accordingly. The device for receiving video data has a dedicated control processor (38) which forwards control commands to the network interface module (10) via the interface (30).
Abstract:
The longitudinal guide for an automotive vehicle seat has two elongate rails, namely one bottom rail and one seat rail, and guide means in the form of roll and/or sliding bodies that are disposed between the rails. Each rail has, when viewed in profile, a) an L-shaped region formed by two L-legs and b) two end regions, each of which joins the L-shaped region and has multiple bends and against which the guide means are resting. The end regions of a rail are mutually interlocked to respectively form an encompassing region with a respective one of the end regions of the other rail. In each encompassing region when viewed in profile, two channels are respectively provided for guide means. Each encompassing region comprises a first channel having first confronting guide surfaces that extend substantially in the y-direction when viewed in the profile of the rails. Said guide surfaces fix the position of a guide means located between them in the z-direction but not in the y-direction.
Abstract:
An x-ray detector has a detector housing in which a base element is arranged that has a fiber optic. The fiber optic is optically coupled with a scintillator layer that is arranged on the top side of the base element and with a photosensor that is arranged over an optically-transparent adhesive layer on the underside of the base element. Such an x-ray detector exhibits a compact structural shape and a large active surface.
Abstract:
A medical diagnostic installation has an MR apparatus and an X-ray exposure apparatus and allows MR exposures and X-ray exposures to be simultaneously produced. A common patient support is provided, so that a patient can be simultaneously charged with magnetic fields and transirradiated by X-rays. The generation of the X-ray images ensues with a solid-state detector.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a jet compressor for gaseous media for use in metallurgical or chemical processes having a driving nozzle which is arranged centrically in a jet head and directed toward a mixing chamber with which a diffuser is connected coaxially. In order to avoid the conventional disadvantages and provide a jet compressor which is simple in design and as compact as possible and to achieve improved efficiency and pressure ratios in comparison to jet devices of the same scale while operating in a reliable manner, it is proposed that the driving nozzle (10) be a ring jet nozzle having a conical central body (12) which narrows in diameter conically toward the mixing chamber (31) of the nozzle (30).
