Abstract: Example implementations include a method of obtaining an input voltage of a power converter circuit and a system voltage of the power converter circuit, obtaining a voltage rate gain based on an aggregate inductance of the power converter circuit, and in accordance with a determination that the input voltage and the system voltage are not equal, generating a rate offset voltage based on the voltage rate gain and the system voltage difference. Example implementations also include a device with a rate predictor device operatively coupled to an input voltage node and a system voltage node, and configured to obtain an input voltage of a power converter circuit and a system voltage of the power converter circuit, configured to obtain a voltage rate gain based on an aggregate inductance of the power converter circuit, and configured to, in accordance with a determination that the input voltage and the system voltage are not equal, generate a rate offset voltage based on the voltage rate gain and the system voltage difference.

Abstract: Exemplary implementations include a device with a first battery manager circuit operatively coupled to a system voltage node and a battery node, a second battery manager circuit operatively coupled to the system voltage node and the battery node, a first charger circuit operatively coupled to the first battery manager circuit to receive a first current sensing input and transmit a first battery control signal, and a second charger circuit operatively coupled to the second battery manager circuit to receive a second current sensing input and transmit a second battery control signal. Exemplary implementations also include a device with a first battery manager operable to sense a first charging current, a second battery manager operable to sense a second charging current, a first charger circuit operable to obtain a first charger current parameter and to charge a battery from a first converter based on the first sensed current, and a second charger circuit operable to obtain a second charger current parameter and to charge the battery from a second converter based on the second sensed current.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for regulating a system rail voltage of a battery charger is described. An integrated circuit can be configured to detect a condition that requires an activation of a trickle charge mode of a battery charger. The integrated circuit can, in response to the detection, set a reference voltage to an intermediate voltage level. The reference voltage can control a system rail voltage of the battery charger, and the intermediate voltage level can be greater than a minimum of the system rail voltage. The integrated circuit can reduce the reference voltage from the intermediate voltage level to the minimum system rail voltage to regulate the system rail voltage at a predefined rate.
