    Abstract: A monitoring device is provided herein. The monitoring device is in communication with one or more air data systems. The monitoring device includes a processor and a memory storing program instructions thereon. The program instructions executable by the processor to implement a model. The model includes a monitoring and comparing layer utilizing parameters from the one or more air data systems to measure a performance and determine a drift. The model includes an estimating layer providing a degradation model determining a degradation of health parameters of the one or more air data systems. The model includes a predicting layer monitoring changes and patterns in the drift and the degradation of health parameters.

Aspects include receiving, by a processor associated with a sensor, a first request to test a transmitter function of the sensor, transmitting a test message to one or more other sensors associated with the aircraft, and listening to a transmitter associated with each of the one or more other sensors to determine a transmitter status of the sensor, wherein the transmitter status of the sensor is a pass status based on receiving a confirmation from at least one of the one or more other sensors. Aspects also include transmitting air data parameters and health status parameters associated with the air data probe to the one or more other air data probes.

    Abstract: An example method includes receiving, by a computing device, an indication of a measured total air temperature (TAT) from a temperature probe installed on an aircraft. The method further includes determining, by the computing device, a theoretical temperature corresponding to conditions at which the TAT is measured, and determining, by the computing device, a measured TAT anomaly condition based on the measured TAT and the theoretical temperature corresponding to the conditions at which the TAT is measured.
