Abstract: A probe head of a pitot probe includes a mandrel having a helical groove, a heater within the helical groove of the mandrel such that an exterior surface of the heater is flush with an exterior surface of the mandrel, and an outer shell having an interior surface in air-tight contact with the mandrel and the heater.
