Abstract: Systems and methods for producing a wash oil using a light fuel oil (e.g., cracked distillate) are disclosed. The methods include hydrogenating the cracked distillate and separating the hydrogenated cracked distillate to remove C4 to C6 hydrocarbons to produce the wash oil.
