An electronic device identifies an occurrence of an event related to the electronic device, identifies whether a state of the electronic device is a first state based on the identified occurrence of the event, when the state of the electronic device is the first state, controls the driving module so that the flexible display moves in the second direction, and displays information related to the occurring event on the flexible display extended according to control of the driving module.

Various embodiments provide a method and an apparatus configured to include a communication interface, a sensor, a memory for storing health information on a user of the electronic device, and a processor, wherein the processor may be configured to obtain biometric information on a user corresponding to the electronic device using an external device functionally connected to a sensor or the electronic device, determine whether the user is in an emergency situation at least on the basis of the biometric information, and differently provide health information corresponding to the user depending on situations of the electronic device when the user is in the emergency situation. Further, other embodiments are also possible.

According to various embodiments, an electronic device and a method of providing information about an access point (AP) may include: confirming one or more access points (APs) outside an electronic device; starting a connection to the selected AP of the one or more APs through a communication circuit; acquiring AP information corresponding to the selected AP from the selected AP during the connection to the selected AP; determining characteristics of the selected AP based on at least the AP information; and displaying a first notification in association with the selected AP based on the characteristics including a first group and a second notification in association with the selected AP based on the characteristics including a second group through the display.

An electronic device, accessory device and method using the same are disclosed herein. The accessory device is stowable in the electronic device, and includes at least a first sensor, a second sensor, a communication interface and a processor. The method includes receiving, through the communication interface, information from the electronic device corresponding to an application executed in the electronic device, in response to the received information, obtaining the first data through the first sensor when the received information is a first information and obtaining the second data through the second sensor when the information is a second information, and transmitting, to the electronic device, data based on at least one of the first data and the second data.

A method and electronic device for providing a tethering service is provided. The electronic device of the present disclosure includes a communication interface comprising communication circuitry and a processor configured to establish a direct connection with at least one external electronic device located in operable proximity of the electronic device using the communication interface, to check a predetermined input, to establish a session for connecting the at least one external device to at least one communication network via the electronic device based on the predetermined input, and to connect the at least one external electronic device to the at least one communication network via the electronic device during at least part of the direct connection session.

An electronic device and a method are provided. The electronic device includes a communication module, a touch screen display, a processor electrically connected with the communication module and the touch screen display, and a memory electrically connected with the processor. The memory is configured to stores an application program configured to transmit and receive data to/from an external electronic device using the communication module, and instructions to enable the processor to display a user interface of the application program in the touch screen display when the application program is executed. The user interface includes a first area that displays at least one of an image and text that is associated with a user who is related to the external electronic device, and a second area that displays data that is shared with the external electronic device, and the first area overlaps at least a part of the second area.
