    Abstract: Described herein is a luminaire controller which is mountable within a luminaire head by means of fastening areas provided in a wall forming part of an upper housing part and/or a baseplate, the upper housing part and the baseplate forming a body for the luminaire controller. A flexible light guide is provided for transmitting light from the exterior of the luminaire head to a light sensor located within the controller. A lens may be provided at one end of the light guide at the wall of the luminaire head with the other end of the light guide being adjacent the light sensor. A terminal strip and an antenna jack are provided to which respective electrical connections can be made and an antenna can be connected by means of an antenna cable.

    Abstract: A control arrangement includes a control module and a control module base for mounting the control module to an external surface of a luminaire. The control module includes a contacts; the control module base includes a base body portion having first and second surfaces and a lateral surface between the first and second surfaces, wherein at least one recess is provided on the first surface and configured for receiving the control module contacts. The control module base includes a near-field communication means including information relating to the specification of the luminaire. The control module includes a near-field communication unit configured to read out information in the near-field communication means of the control module base. The control module includes a communication unit configured for communicating said information to at least one of another control module, a segment controller configured for controlling a group of control modules, and a server.

    Abstract: Described herein is a dual-mode luminaire controller for a luminaire in which dimming signals can be provided to control the operation of the luminaire using signals in accordance with either ‘0-10V’ or DALI protocols. The controller includes a central processing module, an isolated supply in which both a DALI interface and a ‘0-10V’ interface are provided. The luminaire controller also includes a ZigBee transceiver module through which signals can be provided for selecting one of the interfaces in accordance with the operating protocol of the luminaire with which the luminaire controller is associated.
