Abstract:
An electrophoretic display base includes a base; a partition which is disposed on one surface of the base and in which the opposite side of the one surface is open; an electrophoretic dispersion liquid which contains a dispersion medium and charged particles filled in a cell on the base which is defined by the partition; and a lid which is disposed to block an opening of the partition, and has a porosity capable of passing the electrophoretic dispersion liquid therethrough.
Abstract:
In a data line driving circuit that supplies data signals to each data line provided at a first column to an nth column, unit circuits of n+1st to n+3rd tiers are provided on the subsequent tier of a unit circuit Un of n tiers of a shift register corresponding to the nth column, and a start pulse transmitted to the n tier is further transmitted from the n+1st tier to the n+3rd tier. By an OR gate, a latch pulse with a pulse width wider than the start pulse is generated by performing a logical OR of the start pulse transmitted from the n+1st tier to the n+3rd tier. The data signals latched in the first latching circuit by the sampling signal are simultaneously latched in the second latching circuit by the latch pulse.
Abstract:
An electrophoretic display apparatus has an electrophoretic layer interposed between a first electrode and a second electrode each provided on the inner surface side of each of a pair of substrates and a boundary layer interposed between the first electrode and the electrophoretic layer. When the boundary layer has a thickness of T1 and a volume resistivity of ρ1 and the electrophoretic layer has a thickness of T0 and a volume resistivity of ρ0, the thickness and the volume resistivity of the boundary layer satisfy the formula (ρ1/T1)≧1×1013Ω, and the thickness and the volume resistivity of the boundary layer and the electrophoretic layer satisfy the formula (ρ1·T1)/(ρ0·T0)≦1/9.
Abstract:
A display sheet has a display layer, a first electrode on one side of the display layer, a second electrode on another side of the display layer, and an electrode protection layer between the display layer and the first electrode. The display layer has a partition structure dividing the display layer into a plurality of regions and a liquid dispersion filling the individual regions. The electrode protection layer and the partition structure are integrally formed and both mainly composed of an electroconductive polymer.
