Abstract: In an embodiment, a multi-switch contactor assembly includes an array of two or more switches, each switch comprising a moveable contact and a fixed contact; wherein the moveable contact is configured to contact a first end of the fixed contact in a closed switch state; and wherein the moveable contact and the fixed contact are oriented such that current passing between the moveable contact and the fixed contact induces an electromagnetic field that acts on the moveable contact in the direction of the first end of the fixed contact; and an actuator assembly configured to actuate each movable contact simultaneously, the actuator assembly including a shaft, wherein the respective switch states of the two or more switches are changed in dependence upon rotation of the shaft.
