Abstract: A composition whereby a hydrocarbon-based base oil is used and in this base oil are incorporated, in terms of the total amount of the composition, 30 to 300 ppm of overbased calcium salicylate and, in net weight in terms of the total amount of the composition, 0.07 to 2.0 mass % of a non-dispersant polymethacrylate having a weight average molecular weight of 5000 to 200,000. The electrical conductivity at 25° C. of this composition is not less than 200 pS/m, the flash point is not less than 240° C., the pour point is −40° C. or lower and the micro clutch friction coefficient at 140° C. is not less than 0.08. This lubricating oil composition may be used in machines fitted with electronic control apparatus and can impart conductivity so as to inhibit the occurrence of “noise” which is detrimental to electronic control.

Abstract: This invention provides a water-glycol hydraulic fluid comprises from 0.2 to 0.6% by mass of a dimer acid as a fatty acid lubricant, and more than 0.10% by mass and 0.20% by mass or less of a phosphoric acid ester of Formula (1), wherein the sum of the dimer acid and the phosphoric acid ester is more than 0.35% by mass wherein R1 and R2 may be the same or different, each representing a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 30 carbon atoms, R3 represents a hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, R4 represents a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 30 carbon atoms, and X1, X2, X3 and X4 may be the same or different, each representing an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom.

Abstract: The present invention provides a water-glycol hydraulic fluid composition comprising an alkanolamine compound according to the general formula (1), wherein the water-glycol hydraulic fluid composition comprises 20-60% by mass water, 20-60% by mass glycol, 0.6-1.2% by mass fatty acid lubricant, and 0.01-0.06% by mass alkaline hydroxide compound selected from potassium hydroxide and/or sodium hydroxide, and has an alkali reserve of 10-25, wherein R1 and R2 are hydrocarbon groups having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and R3 is a hydrocarbon group having 2 or more carbon atoms.

Abstract: The invention provides a compressor oil, wherein 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol and tris (2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl) phosphite are added to a base oil having a naphthene content of from 17 to 30% based on the total amount of the base oil, and has a pour point of −25° C. or lower. 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol is effective when it is contained in an amount of from 0.5 mass % to 6.0 mass % based on the total amount of the compressor oil, and tris (2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl) phosphite is effective when it is contained in an amount of from 0.3 mass % to 2.0 mass % based on the total amount of the compressor oil. Furthermore, adding an alkaline earth metal salt of alkylsalicylic acid in combination is even more effective. The amount thereof used is preferably from 0.05 mass % to 2.0 mass %.

Abstract: A method for inhibiting adsorption of α-olefin in a lubricant composition to a metal surface is disclosed. The lubricant composition comprises any of oils of Group III, Group IV and polyisobutylenes classified into Group V according to the API base oil classification or a mixture thereof as a base oil, and the α-olefin coexisting in an amount of 1% by mass or less based on the total amount of the composition. The method comprises adding a sarcosinic acid derivative, an aspartic acid derivative or a diethanolamine derivative, or a mixture thereof to the lubricant composition.
