Abstract: Disclosed is an optical device (10) comprising a plurality of lenses (100) for projecting a plurality of parallel beams (202, 204) having a predetermined width towards an object area, wherein each lens comprises a lens body including a cavity (150) for housing a solid state lighting element (200); a pair of opposing internally reflecting side surfaces (130) for constraining said beam within said predetermined width; and a light exit surface delimited by said opposing side surfaces, the light exit surface comprising a curved region (110) extending from a first further side surface (141) extending between the opposing side surfaces and shaped to generate a collimated beam portion along an optical axis; and a stepped region in between the curved region and a second further side surface (142) extending between the reflecting side surfaces, wherein said steps are defined by a plurality of prismatic protrusions (120), each of said protrusions laterally extending between said opposing side surfaces. A luminaire including at least one such an optical device is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an optical device (100) and a lighting device for illuminating two intersecting surfaces (S1, S2). The optical device (100) comprises a first light guiding structure (120) for redirecting light from a light source (200) into a first direction and a second light guiding structure (130) for redirecting light from the light source (200) into a second direction different from the first direction, wherein the optical device (100) is arranged to prevent light from the light source (200) from being redirected in a direction between the first and second directions. By positioning the lighting device (100) at the intersection of two surfaces (S1, S2) such as can be found in a step, or at a corner of a wall, or at a corner inside a closet, or on the intersection area of ceilings, the two intersecting surfaces can be illuminated at the same time with comfortable light distribution, using a simple structure that can be easily installed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for automatic address allocation in serially connected controlled devices (e.g. luminaires) to achieve a changed control configuration. A signal adapter is modified to send an address sorting command, so that each of the controlled devices will automatically allocate an address to itself in sequence one by one upon receiving the address sorting command from the signal adapter.

Abstract: A receiver, method, terminal device, visible light transmissive structure and system for decoding light signals and light signals received in an area of overlap of light rays emanating from different lighting devices, each transmitting unique ID data. Light rays (45, 46, 47) entering the receiver (39) are optically spread apart in longitudinal direction (x) of an array of photodetectors (21). The thus spread light rays (45a, 46a, 47a) are optically diverged and spread further over the radiant active surface (29) of a particular photodetector (22-28), thereby optimizing the amount of light received at a respective photodetector (22-28).
