Abstract: A key includes a key-shaped supporting structure, made of a metal material, which includes a stem and a head having an opening therethrough, the opening being entirely laterally delimited by inner side walls extending from one face of the head to the other; and an insert, made of a polymeric material, which includes an identification system and which is removably inserted into the opening of the head, the insert having at least one section protruding from the inner side walls of the opening and laterally projecting with respect to the opening, thus abutting against a part of the head portion provided about the opening.
