Abstract: Novel title esters are oil-soluble products derived from mono-, di-, tri- and higher hydric alcohols and hydroxy aromatic compounds reacted with 4-(C30-C214 alkyl-substituted carbophenoxy) phthalic anhydride or its diacid. Title esters are useful addition agents for lubricants to impart thereto antiwear, anti-rust and dispersancy functions.
