    Abstract: A display device includes: a first base layer; a circuit element layer on the first base layer; a pixel definition layer on the circuit element layer and comprising a plurality of light-emitting openings which are spaced apart from each other and define a plurality of light-emitting regions; a second base layer spaced apart from and facing the first base layer; a light-shielding layer on the second base layer and comprising a plurality of openings respectively overlapping the light-emitting regions, wherein on a plane of the first base layer, shapes of first to third openings along one direction among the openings are different from each other.

    Abstract: A display panel includes: an upper display substrate including a plurality of pixel areas arranged in each of a plurality of pixel columns and a light blocking area disposed adjacent to the pixel areas; and a lower display substrate including a plurality of display elements respectively overlapping the pixel areas, wherein the upper display substrate includes: a base substrate; a color filter layer disposed on the base substrate; and a light control layer disposed on the color filter layer and including transmission portions respectively at least partially overlapping first pixel areas arranged in a first one of the pixel columns and first conversion portions respectively at least partially overlapping second pixel areas arranged in a second one of the pixel columns, wherein the light blocking area includes a first light blocking area defined between the transmission portion and the first conversion portion, and a second light blocking area defined between the first conversion portions, and a first shortest distance from the base substrate to a lower surface of a first portion of the light control layer overlapping the first light blocking area is substantially equal to a second shortest distance from the base substrate to a lower surface of a second portion of the light control layer overlapping the second light blocking area.

    Abstract: Provided is a display apparatus including a display module having a folding region and a plurality of non-folding regions adjacent to the folding region and including a display surface configured to display an image, and a support member below the display module and supporting the display module, wherein the display module is operated in a plurality of modes, and the plurality of modes includes a first mode in which the folding region has a first curvature radius and is folded in a first bending direction which surrounds a virtual first bending axis defined below the display module and a second mode in which the folding region has a second curvature radius and is folded in a second bending direction which surrounds a virtual second bending axis defined above the display module, wherein the first curvature radius is greater than the second curvature radius.

    Abstract: A display panel includes an upper display substrate including pixel areas arranged in each of pixel columns and a light blocking area and a lower display substrate including display elements respectively overlapping the pixel areas. The upper display substrate includes a base substrate, a color filter layer, and a light control layer including transmission portions overlapping first pixel areas arranged in a first pixel column and first conversion portions overlapping second pixel areas arranged in a second pixel column, and a barrier layer including first barriers disposed between the first conversion portions and the transmission portions and first sub-barriers disposed between adjacent first conversion portions. A first shortest distance from the base substrate to a lower surface of each of the first barriers is equal to a second shortest distance from the base substrate to a lower surface of each of the first sub-barriers.
