    Abstract: Provided are an artificial intelligence (AI) system using a machine learning algorithm like deep learning, or the like, and an application thereof. A robotic cleaning apparatus that generates map data includes a communication interface comprising communication circuitry, a memory configured to store one or more instructions, and a processor configured to control the robotic cleaning apparatus by executing the one or more instructions. The processor is configured, by executing the one or more instructions, to control the robotic cleaning apparatus to: generate basic map data related to a cleaning space, and generate object information regarding at least one object in the cleaning space, the object information being generated based on information obtained by the robotic cleaning apparatus regarding the object in a plurality of different positions of the cleaning space, and including information about a type and a position of the object.

The apparatus includes an input/output interface configured to receive an image and output a result, a memory storing one or more instructions for processing the image by using a convolutional neural network, and a processor configured to process the image by executing the one or more instructions, wherein the convolutional neural network (CNN) may include one or more spatial transformation modules, and the spatial transformation module may include a spatial transformer configured to apply a spatial transform to first input data that is the image or an output of a previous spatial transformation module, by using a spatial transformation function, a first convolutional layer configured to perform a convolution operation between the first input data to which the spatial transform is applied and a first filter, and a spatial inverse transformer configured to apply a spatial inverse transform to an output of the first convolutional layer.

    Abstract: An electronic apparatus is provided. The electronic apparatus includes a communication interface, a memory storing at least one instruction, and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to acquire a user command from the user and control the communication interface to transmit the user command to a plurality of external devices, receive, from the plurality of external devices, information on a first question generated based on the user command and information on first response to the generated first question acquired from users of each of the plurality of external devices, identify whether there a conflict between each first response occurs by analyzing the received information on the first response based on identification that the conflict occurs, acquire information on a subject to be re-questioned based on the generated information on the first question and the received information on the first response, control the communication interface to transmit information on the conflict to at least one external device identified based on the information on the subject to be re-questioned, receive, from the identified at least one external device, information on a second response to a second question generated based on the information on the conflict, and acquire a final response based on the information on the first response and the information on the second response and output the final response.

    Abstract: A method of controlling a robot includes obtaining a first image and a second image of a plurality of objects, the first and second image being captured from different positions; obtaining, from the first and second images, a plurality of candidate positions corresponding to each of the plurality of objects, based on a capturing position of each of the first and second images and a direction to each of the plurality of objects from each capturing position; obtaining distance information between each capturing position and each of the plurality of objects in the first and second images by analyzing the first and second images; and identifying a position of each of the plurality of objects from among the plurality of candidate positions based on the distance information.
