An electronic device is provided to include a user interface, a communication circuitry that supports Bluetooth (BT) communication and store a first BT address, a processor operatively connected with the user interface and the communication circuitry, and a memory operatively connected with the processor. The memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to establish a communication connection with a first external electronic device based on the first BT address, end the communication connection with the first external electronic device, receive a reconnection request based on the first BT address from the first external electronic device, transmit a communication connection request to the first external electronic device based on a second BT address different from the first BT address, using the communication circuitry in response to the reconnection request, and store information about whether the first external electronic device accepts or declines the communication connection request in the memory.

An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention can include a method comprising the steps of: identifying the state of a transport protocol; determining a communication state of the electronic device on the basis of the state of the transport protocol; and changing a network on the basis of the communication state. An electronic device includes a processor configured to: obtain a Connected Isochronous Group (CIG) event including a first Connected Isochronous Stream (CIS) event and a second CIS event at least partially overlapped with at least a part of the first CIS event; identify first data indicating a quality of a first link (with a first external device) for the first CIS event and second data indicating a quality of a second link (with a second external device) for the second CIS event; transmit, based on the first data and the second data either a first packet to the first external device or a second packet to the second electronic device.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes wireless communication circuitry that supports a Bluetooth network, at least one processor, and a memory. The memory stores instructions that cause the at least one processor to create a link with an external electronic device based on the Bluetooth network, transmit a data packet including content to the external electronic device, through the wireless communication circuitry, identify whether the external electronic device supports a resource control function, receive at least one response message to the data packet through a first time resource, which is previously assigned, when the external electronic device does not support the resource control function, and receive a plurality of response messages to the data packet through a second time resource obtained by changing at least a portion of the first time resource, when the external electronic device supports the resource control function.

An electronic device and a method of operating a nearby function of the electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a low-power short-range communication module configured to perform a scanning operation and to collect advertising information as a result of the scanning operation, a display module configured to display an item for performing at least one of a short range communication connection and a remote communication connection with at least one reception-side device corresponding to the collected advertising information, and a control module configured to control the scanning operation of the low-power short-range communication module and the displaying of the item for performing the at least one of the short range communication connection and the remote communication connection with the at least one reception-side device corresponding to the collected advertising information.
