Abstract: A method includes acquiring, by a processor of an electronic device, information associated with channel and noise covariances. The method includes determining one or more time-domain rectangular filters based on the information associated with the channel and noise covariances. The method includes generating one or more convolutional kernels based on the one or more rectangular filters applied to the channel and noise covariances in a time-domain. The method includes generating a codebook based on the one or more convolutional kernels, the codebook comprising N codewords. Further, the method can include establishing a communication link to a gNB configured to: receive a reference signal from a user equipment; receive the codebook; calculate channel statistics using a low complexity algorithm; execute a decision tree classifier to select a codeword from the codebook stored in memory of the gNB; and apply the selected codeword as convolution kernel for channel estimation.

Abstract: A method of operating a network entity includes transmitting, via a first TRP and a second TRP, a first DL RS; receiving from a UE, based on the first DL RS, first CSI; determining, based on the first CSI, a calibrated quadrant; transmitting, via the first TRP and the second TRP, a second DL RS based on the calibrated quadrant; and receiving from the UE, based on the second DL RS, second CSI. The method further includes, for N iterations, determining, based on the (N+1)th CSI, an adjusted calibrated phase; transmitting, via the first TRP and the second TRP, an (N+2)th DL RS based on the adjusted calibrated phase; and receiving from the UE, based on the (N+2)th DL RS, (N+2)th CSI. The method further includes, after the N iterations, determining, based on a most recently received (N+2)th CSI, a converged calibrated phase.

Abstract: A method performed by a network entity includes determining a target timing mismatch for a phase timing slope between first and second channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) resources, and determining, based on the target timing mismatch, a first band separation between a first calibrated phase for the first the second CSI-RS resource and a second calibrated phase for the first and the second CSI-RS resource. The method further includes determining a first frequency band for the first calibrated phase, and determining, based on the band separation, a second frequency band for the second calibrated phase. The method further includes determining, based on the band separation between the first calibrated phase the second calibrated phase, a first phase timing slope between the first the second CSI-RS resource, and performing joint transmission from a first TRP and a second TRP based on the first phase timing slope.
