    Abstract: A display panel includes a display region and a peripheral region other than the display region. The display panel includes, in the peripheral region, a gate drive circuit and a first trunk line extending in a column direction. The first trunk line includes a first edge on a first side corresponding to the display region side in the row direction and a second edge on a second side corresponding to a side opposite to the display region in the row direction. The first trunk line includes a first portion and a second portion, each including the first edge and the second edge, and the first edge of the second portion is closer to the second side in the row direction than the first edge of the first portion. The first portion is not provided with an element, and the second portion includes a region provided with an element.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display apparatus has a three-TFT structure in which each of pixels includes a first liquid crystal capacitor including a first pixel electrode, a second liquid crystal capacitor including a second pixel electrode, a first TFT including a drain electrode connected to the first pixel electrode, a second TFT including a drain electrode connected to the second pixel electrode, and a buffer capacitor including a buffer capacitor electrode connected to the second pixel electrode via a third TFT. In the liquid crystal display apparatus, a configuration is adopted in which a gate scanning signal is independently supplied to a plurality of gate bus lines one by one, and a sub-gate-on pulse is substantially simultaneously applied to the third TFTs belonging to at least two pixel rows.

    Abstract: A display device includes pixels arranged in a matrix, scanning signal lines, display signal lines, a scanning signal line driving circuit, a display signal line driving circuit, and input signal lines for supplying an input signal to the scanning signal line driving circuit. The scanning signal line driving circuit includes a shift register circuit, and each stage of the shift register circuit includes an input terminal connected to the input signal line via a branch line and an output terminal connected to the scanning signal line. The input signal line includes unit portions when a portion between the adjacent branch lines is defined as a unit portion, and the unit portions include at least one first unit portion each having a resistance value smaller than a resistance value of the unit portion adjacent thereto on a downstream side in an input direction of the input signal.
