Abstract: In an embodiment, the invention comprises a container comprising: a base; at least one sidewall extending upwardly from the base and terminating in a top edge, wherein the at least one sidewall is paper-based; a removable flexible membrane adhered to the top edge, wherein the membrane comprises a one-way valve; a liner ply at least partially adhered to an interior surface of the sidewall, wherein the liner ply is configured to at least partially release from the sidewall upon a pressure differential between the pressure within the container and the external pressure.
