Abstract: Examples are disclosed that related to providing flight-delay estimations of airborne flights in a real-time environment. In one example, an aircraft information message for a current aircraft flight is received. The aircraft information message has a designated format consumable by a machine learning model previously trained to assess delay predictions for aircraft flights. The aircraft information message includes one or more aircraft flight-plan parameters, one or more aircraft surveillance parameters, and one or more weather parameters for the current aircraft flight. The aircraft information message is provided as input to the machine learning model to assess a real-time delay prediction for the current aircraft flight based at least on the one or more flight-plan parameters, the one or more aircraft surveillance parameters, and the one or more weather parameters included in the aircraft information message.

The network interface is configured to receive real-time time-series flight data from a data bus of a first aircraft. The processor is configured to receive, via the network interface, the real-time time-series flight data. The processor is also configured to generate, based on the real-time time-series flight data and the aircraft performance model, one or more aircraft performance parameters. The processor is further configured to provide the aircraft performance parameters to a display device.

Abstract: Systems and methods of a monitoring node to assist an air navigation service provider (ANSP) in the design of an airspace. The monitoring node collects flight data and performs flight simulations for a large geographic region that is outside of the airspace. The monitoring node receives flight data collected by the ANSP for the airspace. The monitoring node supplements their flight data with the data received from the ANSP and performs flight simulations and generates flight plans for the airspace. The flight simulations and flight plans are transmitted to the ANSP which are then used by the ANSP to design the airspace.
