Abstract: A disc brake vibration estimating device 1 includes an in-plane spring value calculating unit 31 configured to calculate an in-plane spring value for determining an in-plane vibromotive force generated in an in-plane direction of a disc rotor 104 and a vibration estimating unit 32 configured to estimate the vibration of a disc brake 100 in the in-plane direction on the basis of the calculated in-plane spring value. The in-plane spring value calculating unit 31 calculates the in-plane spring value on the condition that a value, which is obtained by integrating moment generated at a node constituting a contact surface on which pad models 102′, 103′ come in contact with a disc rotor model 104′ over the entire contact surface, is balanced with actual moment of the pads as a whole measured in a state in which the pads 102, 103 come in contact with the rotating disc rotor 104.

Abstract: When a frontmost white line of a crosswalk cannot be detected due to an obstacle existing on the crosswalk, an edge position of the obstacle closer to a pedestrian in an image acquired by a camera is set as the frontmost white line of the crosswalk. As a result, a vibration generation device vibrates in a pattern that urges the pedestrian to stop at the time when the pedestrian reaches a position before the edge position of the obstacle closer to the pedestrian, so that a stop notification for walking can be appropriately performed to the pedestrian even when the obstacle exists on the crosswalk.

Abstract: It is determined whether a traffic light is recognized in an image based on each of a result of a recognition operation by a traffic light first recognition unit (a recognition operation of the traffic light for an image acquired by a camera using a learned model based on pre-annotated data) and a result of a recognition operation by a traffic light second recognition unit (a recognition operation of the traffic light for an image acquired by the camera based on a feature amount of the traffic light). This makes it possible to sufficiently obtain the recognition accuracy of the traffic light, and to appropriately perform an instruction to a pedestrian according to the state of the traffic light.

Abstract: A multidimensional performance optimization design device that includes: complement respective discrete observation values acquired by simulation for each of a plurality of performance dimensions, and output continuous prediction values and prediction errors in each of the plurality of performance dimensions; based on the prediction values and the prediction errors, compute, for each of the plurality of performance dimensions, a plurality of calculation points for searching a region where each of the plurality of performance dimensions is feasible; at the plurality of computed calculation points, compute, for each of the plurality of performance dimensions, a probability distribution for which each of the plurality of performance dimensions is feasible; and output, as a multidimensional performance feasible region, a general product from multiplying together the respective probability distributions computed for each of the plurality of performance dimensions.

Abstract: A movement support device is provided, which early recognize a possibility of contact of a user with a moving body and perform an appropriate movement support operation according to the recognition. It is determined whether there is a possibility of contact of a vehicle with a white cane while maintaining a distance from the vehicle based on a relative position relationship with the vehicle, which is recognized by images from a camera, and a change thereof. When it is determined that there is a possibility of contact, the movement support operation is performed. Thus, the possibility of contact of the vehicle with the user can be early recognized, and when there is a possibility of contact, the movement support operation according to the actual situation can be immediately started, which results in an appropriate acquisition of a start timing of the movement support operation.

Abstract: When there is an area that cannot be confirmed as a white line based on an image acquired by a camera, it is determined that the area that cannot be confirmed as the white line is an area that can be regarded as the white line, on condition that the area that cannot be confirmed as the white line is located in an area between a first straight line connecting edges of one ends of the area that can be confirmed as the white line in a longitudinal direction of the white line and extension lines of the first straight line, and a second straight line connecting edges of the other ends and extension lines of the second straight line. For the area that can be regarded as the white line, a shape of the area in the image is set to a shape as a white line.

Abstract: An image area including a traffic light in an image taken by a camera is determined, and the determined image area including the traffic light is extracted and the extracted image area is subjected to enlargement processing to determine whether a status of the traffic light is red or green, and notice to start crossing is provided to a user under a condition that the status of the traffic light switches from red to green. Consequently, even with image information from a single camera alone, accuracy in recognition of the traffic light can sufficiently be enhanced. As a result, crossing start notice can properly be provided without an increase in configuration complexity and weight of the system.
