Abstract:
In a notifying device comprising a notifying unit 2 having incorporated therein a vibrator to be resonated by a drive signal fed thereto, and a signal preparing circuit 5 for feeding the drive signal to the notifying unit 2, the signal preparing circuit 5 prepares a drive signal Dv varying in frequency within a predetermined range including the resonance frequency of the vibrator of the unit 2 and feeds the signal to the notifying unit 2. The variation of frequency of the drive signal is determined in correspond relation with a variation in the resonance frequency of the vibrator due to tolerances for specifications which govern the resonance frequency. The drive signal has an alternating waveform of rectangular waves or sine waves, and the frequency thereof varies periodically from 1.37 to 2.98 Hz. The notifying device achieves a satisfactory notifying effect despite the variation of the resonance frequency of the vibrator.
Abstract:
Two kinds of large and small cassettes having respective unlocking apertures for fitting a common unlocking member therein can be loaded onto a chassis. When the cassettes are loaded in position with their tape centers in coincidence, the unlocking apertures are displaced from each other by .DELTA. Y. Mounted on the chassis are a pair of pivotal levers each supporting a reel support on a free end thereof, a drive slide reciprocatingly movable on the chassis for controlling the rotation of the pivotal levers and moving the reel supports to two different positions corresponding respectively to the large and small cassettes, a drive gear for driving the slide, and pressure contacting mechanism disposed between the gear and the slide for positioning and holding the slide in two cassette loading positions by pressing contact, with the rotation of the gear. The drive slide has the unlocking member projecting from its upper surface and is slidingly movable only by the distance .DELTA. Y in corresponding relation with the cassette loading positions.
Abstract:
A disk apparatus includes a DSP core, and executes processing for focal point positioning when turning on the power to the apparatus main body or exchanging the MO disk. The DSP core detects maximum and minimum values of outputs (focus error signal) of an FE signal detector circuit while moving the objective lens from an uppermost position of not contacted with a disk surface to a lowermost position. The DSP core calculates a middle position using positions of the objective lens upon fetching maximum and minimum values (uppermost and lowermost positions). Subsequently, the DSP core determines a range narrower than a range to be determined by the uppermost and lowermost positions, by the use of the middle point and amount of surface deflection of the MO disk. Then, the DSP core wobbles the objective lens within the narrow range and detects a focal point based on a level of the focus error signal.
Abstract:
A vibration generator comprises a first vibrator having a permanent magnet and supported by a first spring body on a fixing member, and a second vibrator having a coil so disposed as to intersect the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet and supported by a second spring body on the fixing member. One of the first vibration system and the second vibration system serves as a sound source for producing sound waves of audio-frequency for propagation to the outside, and the other vibration system serves as a vibration source for transmitting vibration to the fixing member and vibrating a device.

An information recording and reproducing apparatus for increasing a speed of tilt control, including a portion for storing reference data, a portion for storing sample values data, a portion for obtaining positional information, a stilt servo generator, a tilt adjuster.
Abstract:
A device comprises a vibration generator having a magnetic circuit composed of a permanent magnet and a coil, and a diaphragm drivable by the magnetic circuit and secured to a fixed member so as to mechanically resonate at a frequency of f1, a signal generating circuit for producing a signal having the frequency of f1, a filter for blocking the frequency of f1, and selection means. The selection means operates to give notice to the user by applying the signal containing the frequency of f1 and generated by the signal generating circuit to the coil, or to deliver incoming speech to the user by applying a voice signal to the coil via the filter.
Abstract:
A magnetic recording/reproduction apparatus of an azimuth system for recording/reproducing a digital signal by helical scanning a magnetic tape has an SP mode and an LP mode having recording/reproducing time period N (N is an even number) times that of SP mode. The apparatus includes a pair of magnetic head units with opposite azimuth, disposed in close proximity on a circumferential face of a rotary head cylinder with difference in level therebetween corresponding to a predetermined track pitch t for scanning simultaneously two continuous tracks at that pitch. The cylinder is rotated at the same rotation speed in both SP and LP modes, while the tape travel speed is reduced to 1/N that of SP mode when LP mode is specified. When LP mode is specified, the data amount of a digital signal to be recorded is compressed to 1/N that in SP mode, which are provided to the magnetic heads 2-channel record data, and the data amount of reproduced 2-channel digital signals of is expanded by N. In SP mode, recording/reproduction is carried out by every 2 continuous tracks by the pair of magnetic heads for every 1 for rotation of the cylinder. In LP mode, recording/reproduction is carried out in a unit of 2 continuous tracks by the pair of magnetic heads for every N rotations of the cylinder.
Abstract:
A composite tray comprises a small cassette tray and a large cassette tray pivoted to inside portions of the tray. A first lid opener for opening the lid of a large cassette is pivoted to inside portions of the large cassette tray. Pivoted to the opener is a second lid opener pivotally movable in a plane parallel to the bottom surface of the large cassette for opening the lid of a small cassette. The second lid opener is positioned in a large cassette supporting region in the absence of the large cassette, but is pushed by the lid of the large cassette to escape to the outside of the tray when the cassette is placed on the tray.
Abstract:
A time lapse VTR carrying out field extraction recording includes a gate for extracting intermittently a supplied video signal at a ratio of one field to every three fields, a switching circuit for designating selectively a tape running speed of either 1/9 or 1/12 the tape running speed of a SP mode in the VHS system, and a servo control circuit for driving a capstan motor to run a magnetic tape at the designated tape running speed. The video signal extracted intermittently by the gate circuit is recorded at an azimuth angle differing from each field by a plurality of video heads on a magnetic head running at the designated tape running speed. As a result, the reproduction compatibility of a magnetic tape having field extraction recorded by a time lapse VTR with an EP mode of a conventional VTR of the VHS system is ensured.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to further increase the speed of tilt control while suppressing a useless tilt control operation. Values of focus bias voltages (reference bias values V1 to V6) at a plurality of radial positions P1 to P6 are obtained and stored using a reference disk with a high flatness precision. Prior to a recording and reproducing operation, the values of focus bias voltages (Fo bias values vs1 to vs6) at the radial positions P1 to P6 are obtained, and each of tilt amounts T1 to T6 at the respective radial positions is obtained from a differential value between the reference bias value and the Fo bias value at each radial position. During recording/reproduction, a radial position Pn placed immediately before the recording/reproducing position is detected. Then, tilt control is performed with a tilt amount Tn at the radial position Pn being set as the tilt amount at the recording/reproducing position.
