Abstract: A backlight includes a light guide plate, an optical member, a frame, and an adhesive agent. The optical member is disposed to face the light guide plate. The optical member has a sheet-like shape. The frame is configured to enclose the light guide plate and the optical member. The adhesive agent is disposed in a first hole of the frame and in a space which communicates with the first hole and includes a cutout or a hole of each of the light guide plate and the optical member. The adhesive agent is configured to fix the light guide plate and the optical member.
