Abstract: The invention provides a method for managing image data in a motor vehicle lighting system, the lighting system including at least one lighting module intended to project light beams, the light beams being generated from data relating to the selection of at least one image, each image being respectively defined by a matrix including a plurality of horizontal or vertical rows of pixels, with each pixel having a numerical value related to a light intensity of the pixel. The method includes determining whether the pixel under analysis is considered to be a significant point of inflection of the image, so as to transmit it to at least one lighting module, so that it is able to project a resulting image.

Abstract: The invention provides a method for controlling a light pattern provided by an automotive lighting device of an automotive vehicle. The method includes providing a road profile, extracting road features from the road profile, dividing the matrix arrangement in row groups, assigning a different shifting value for each row group, each shifting value depending on the road features, dividing each row group in a first portion and a second portion, shifting the operation of the first portion of each row group of light sources according to the corresponding shifting value and create a third portion between the shifted first portion and the second portion of each row group.

Abstract: A method for managing image data in a vehicle lighting system that includes a lighting module and a multiplexed bus for transmitting compressed image data to the lighting module. The method includes receiving an instruction to trigger at least one lighting function to be generated by the at least one lighting module. Determining a required data rate level for transmitting the compressed image data over the multiplexed bus. Comparing the determined data rate level with a data rate threshold value of the multiplexed bus. Compressing the image data of the lighting function according to: the first frequency when the determined data rate level is lower than or equal to the data rate threshold value and according to a second frequency selected within the frequency range such that the second frequency is lower than the first frequency when the determined data rate level is greater than the data rate threshold value.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling bending light generated by a vehicle lighting device emitting a luminous flux that varies depending on the movement of the vehicle, the method includes determining at least three initial luminous-flux images, each initial luminous-flux image corresponding to emission of light by the lighting device in a predefined direction. When the vehicle is not following one of the predefined directions, determining an intermediate luminous-flux image to be emitted by the lighting device in an intermediate direction, by weighted averaging of two of the three initial luminous-flux images corresponding to the directions flanking the intermediate direction most closely and projecting, onto the road scene, depending on the direction of movement of the vehicle, the initial or intermediate luminous-flux image.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for managing image data in an motor vehicle lighting system, the lighting system including at least one lighting module intended to project light beams generated on the basis of data relating to the selection of at least one image. The method including receiving an instruction to activate at least one image to be projected, converting the original image into N grey levels, determining, for each pixel in each row in the matrix, whether the pixel under analysis is a significant point of inflection, storing the pixel under analysis as a compressed pixel in a list when the pixel under analysis is considered to be a significant point of inflection, and transmitting the list to the at least one lighting module so that it is able to project a resulting image.
