Control equipment for the manufacture of corrugated cardboard. The manufacturing equipment includes a gluing unit, a sensor arrangement and actuator equipment. The actuator equipment is adapted to adjust the moisture on a first surface of a liner on the basis of measurements taken by the sensor arrangement for gluing the liner by its first surface to a fluting paper.

A topographical imaging device is placable after a creping process which causes folds to the tissue sheet and the topographical imaging device provides image data having three-dimensional information on the tissue sheet. A data processing device determines, on the basis of a shape of a cross section of at least one fold of creping of the tissue sheet, at least one of the following: thickness of the tissue sheet, softness of the tissue sheet.
Abstract:
A measurement apparatus of a moving paper web, includes an optical radiation source that outputs optical radiation toward a scattering element of the measurement apparatus. The scattering element scatters the optical radiation, and a transmitting surface of the scattering element directs the optical radiation in a scattered manner toward the moving paper web. A distance between said transmitting surface of the scattering element and a surface of the paper web is known, and the transmitting surface and a detector of the apparatus are on opposite sides of the paper web. The detector receives at least a part of the optical radiation, which is side-scattered from the moving paper web. The detector determines a moisture value and a dry weight of the paper web on the basis of spectral information on the received optical radiation and the known distance.

By using an imaging measuring device, an image of the silicone-coated layer is formed. The silicone coverage of the silicone coating is analysed from the image observed by imaging.

Optical multi-channel measurement unit for a process measurement includes first ends for receiving optical radiation from the optical radiation source, and second ends for outputting the optical radiation for illuminating the at least one object. Optical detectors receive optical radiation from at least one measurement channel via at least one optical filter and convert an intensity of the optical radiation to an electrical signal. A movement mechanism causes, for filtering the wavelengths of the optical radiation propagating between detectors and the optical measurement channels through the optical filters, at least one of the following: movement inside at least one optical filter and movement between the filters and the detectors.

Measurement apparatus including an optical sensor, which performs repeatedly transmission measurements through moving sheet of paper or board at at least one wavelength band dominantly absorbed by water, at at least one wavelength band dominantly absorbed by cellulose. The apparatus also includes an X-ray sensor, which performs repeatedly transmission measurements through the moving sheet of paper or board with photons of electromagnetic radiation (1 keV to 10 keV). The apparatus comprises a data processing unit, which receives signals with information on intensities of the optical and X-ray radiations passed through the sheet from the optical sensor and the X-ray sensor, and determines, based on the information, all of the following of the moving sheet: the dry stuff content as a function of the cellulose mass per unit area of the sheet, water mass per unit area of the sheet and the ash mass per unit area of the sheet.
