Abstract: A dew point hygrometer for measuring the moisture content of a gas that includes a self-contained power supply in the form of a battery and a compressed gas supply. The electrical conductivity of the water vapor in the sampling gas near the dew point is measured by a sensor, the temperature of which is also measured as well as the rate of cooling the sensor to determine the dew point temperature of the sampling gas. The battery powers electrical circuitry for making the measurements, while the compressed gas is utilized for cooling the sensor.
