Abstract:
An intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) imaging system is provided. The IVUS imaging system includes an intravascular device including a transducer shaft with an ultrasound transducer at a distal end. The IVUS imaging system also includes an interface module removably coupled to the intravascular device. The interface module includes a connector rotatably coupled to a proximal end of the transducer shaft; a motor coupled to the connector; a spinning element coupled to the motor, wherein the spinning element comprises four conductive rings; a stationary element comprising a plurality of brushes, wherein the stationary element is disposed proximate the spinning element such that a different one of the plurality of brushes is in mechanical contact with each of the four conductive rings; and four conductors coupled to the connector and the spinning element such that the stationary element and the intravascular device are in electrical communication.
Abstract:
Ultrasound image devices, systems, and methods are provided. In one embodiment, an intraluminal ultrasound imaging system includes a patient interface module (PIM) in communication with an intraluminal imaging device comprising an ultrasound imaging component, the PIM comprising a processing component configured to detect device information associated with the intraluminal imaging device, the device information identifying an ultrasound attribute associated with the ultrasound imaging component; and determine a waveform for ultrasound wave emissions at the ultrasound imaging component based on the identified ultrasound attribute; and a trigger signal generation component in communication with the processing component and configured to generate a trigger signal based on the determined waveform to control the ultrasound wave emissions at the ultrasound imaging component.
Abstract:
An intravascular device interface and associated systems and methods are disclosed. In some embodiments, the intravascular device interface includes a housing containing one or more processors in communication with a memory, a first connector, and a second connector. The first connector is secured to the housing and configured to interface with a proximal connector of an imaging intravascular device sized and shaped for insertion into human vasculature. The second connector is also secured to the housing and is configured to interface with a proximal connector of a physiology intravascular device. The one or more processors process data received from the first connector or the second connector for transmission over a device output. In some embodiments disclosed herein, an intravascular device interface includes a single connector that may be configured to support a non-rotational imaging device or a rotational imaging device.
