Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for controlling operations of autonomous vehicles and systems in, for example, logistics yards at distribution, manufacturing, processing and/or other centers for the transfer of goods, materials, and/or other cargo. In some embodiments, an autonomous yard tractor or other vehicle can include one or more systems for locating an over-the-road trailer parked in a yard of a distribution center, engaging the trailer, and moving the trailer to a loading dock for loading/unloading operations in accordance with a workflow procedure provided by a central control system. In other embodiments, an autonomous yard tractor can locate the trailer at the loading dock after the loading/unloading operations, engage the trailer, and move the trailer to a parking location in the yard. In some embodiments, the autonomous yard tractor can include a sensor system configured to detect the position of the trailer relative to, for example, the tractor, and/or the dock station can include a sensor system configured to detect the position of the trailer relative to, for example, the dock station during a docking procedure.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a resource allocation procedure for allocating time-frequency radio resources by a scheduler in a mobile communication system. A plurality of numerology schemes are defined, each partitioning a plurality of radio resources of the mobile communication system into resource scheduling units in a different manner. A reference resource set is defined per numerology scheme, each being associated to a set of radio resources usable for being allocated according to the respective numerology scheme. The reference resource set of at least one numerology scheme overlaps with the reference resource set of at least another numerology scheme in the frequency and/or time domain. The resource allocation procedure is performed for allocating radio resources to one or more user terminals according to the numerology schemes. The resource allocation procedure is performed for each numerology scheme based on a scheduling time interval defined for the respective numerology scheme.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a vehicle having a park-by-brake module that can control an electronic parking brake coupled to the rear wheels of a vehicle. The park-by-brake module is coupled to an antilock brake module by a controller area network architecture. In one example, a first controller area network and a second controller area network are used to couple the park-by-brake module to the antilock brake module. The controller area network architecture allows the park-by-brake module to receive commands from various control modules. Based on the received commands, the park-by-brake module activates or deactivates the electronic parking brake.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for driver assistance, wherein a vehicle automatically performs a driving maneuver. In the method, a service brake of the vehicle is first actuated. Then a parking brake of the vehicle is controlled in such a way that the parking brake exerts no braking influence and that the free travel to be overcome for actuation of the parking brake is minimized. In subsequent steps, the service brake of the vehicle is released and an automatic driving maneuver is performed, wherein, if a fault or a specified event occurs, the parking brake is actuated such that the vehicle is braked to a standstill and is kept at a standstill.
