Abstract:
A laundry system includes a robotic singulator. The robotic singulator includes an articulating arm and an end effector configured to grasp an item of laundry from a loading zone and to transport the item of laundry to a destination location. A camera is positioned in proximity to the end effector and configured to obtain at least one laundry image representing the item of laundry. A controller is configured to receive the at least one laundry image and create a point-cloud from the at least one image. A peak of the point-cloud is selected in reference to a reference point. The end effector is controlled to close on a predetermined position relative to the peak of the point-cloud to grasp the item of laundry. The articulating arm and effector are operated to release the item of laundry at the destination location.
Abstract:
An apparatus for feeding transport pockets into a conveying system of a hanging conveying installation includes a conveying rail which can be coupled conveyingly to the conveying system, along which the transport pockets can each be conveyed while being hanging by a hanging adapter, a detection unit for detecting the quantity of hanging adapters arranged within a detection zone on the conveying rail, a control unit which is in signal communication with the detection unit and is configured to variably set a transport spacing for conveying the transport pockets by the conveying system, a singularizing unit which is in signal communication with the control unit and is intended for singularized feeding the hanging adapters into the conveying system with the variably set transport spacing.
Abstract:
Autonomously operated systems and methods of packing unbound folded laundry articles are described. A system of stacking a plurality of folded laundry articles onto a receiving surface includes two or more side-by-side parallel extendable surfaces configured to extend at least one of independently and simultaneously, at least one sensor configured to detect a presence of one or more folded laundry articles on at least one of the surfaces, and a controller in operative communication with at least one drive of the two or more surfaces and the at least one sensor. The controller is configured to extend a loading end of at least one of the surfaces out upon receiving a signal from the at least one sensor, and retract the loading end to deposit the one or more folded laundry articles atop at least one of the receiving surface and one or more previously deposited folded laundry articles.
Abstract:
An autonomously operated system is configured to load at least one unbound deformable article into a container. The system includes a refillable cartridge configured to receive therein the article, at least one extendable conveyor being configured to extend into the refillable cartridge and deposit the article within the refillable cartridge, a driven lifter configured to selectively lower and raise the refillable cartridge relative to the at least one extendable conveyor, one or more sensors configured output a signal indicative of a fill height of the refillable cartridge, and at least one controller configured to, in response a received signal form the one or more sensors, instruct the driven lifter to at least one of raise and lower the refillable cartridge to at least one of one or more loading heights for receiving the article, and lower the refillable cartridge to an unloading position within the container.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a flexible manual storage system comprising: a rolling track (3); piece-holding chains (1, 1′, 1″) formed by a variable number of crossbars (1a, 1b, 1c) provided with through-holes (12) form which pieces can be suspended; shock absorbing end parts (4) and carns (6) for connecting consecutive piece-holding chains (1, 1′, 1″); and rolling assemblies (2) provided with a casing (25) having a U-shaped cross-section and equipped with at least one pair of rollers (26) bearing on a guide (31) of a rolling track (3) and with a vertical shaft (21) for supporting the crossbars of a piece-holding chains. The rolling track (3) comprises at least one first segment (3a) and one second segment (3b) that can be coupled to one another and a station (8) at which successive piece-holding chains can be stopped and disconnected from one another.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a conveyor work station comprising an endless conveyor chain adapted to carry product carriers in a hanging manner from a loading position to a release position, where the conveyor work station comprises an upper driven chain wheel positioned at the release position, and a loading arrangement at the loading position, wherein the conveyor work station further comprises a guide track arranged between the upper chain wheel and the loading arrangement, where the guide track is adapted to support the conveyor chain, thereby allowing the conveyor chain to be pushed from the upper chain wheel to the loading arrangement. The advantage of the invention is that a simple and reliable conveyor work station is provided, which only comprises one chain wheel.
Abstract:
Laundry transfer apparatus, and a method of transferring laundry items. The laundry apparatus comprises a rotatable disk carousel for receiving laundry items on a laundry receiving surface thereof, and a suction nozzle located relative to said laundry receiving surface for drawing laundry items from said laundry receiving surface into a laundry delivery conduit. The suction nozzle is vertically movable relative to the laundry receiving surface of the rotatable disk carousel and is rotatable about a vertical axis. The method of transferring laundry items, comprises the steps of: delivering laundry items onto the laundry receiving surface of a rotating disk carousel, and suctioning laundry items from the laundry receiving surface of the rotating disk carousel into a laundry delivery conduit. The transferred laundry items may be wet or dry laundry items.
Abstract:
A conveyor for conveying hanging objects has a first rail profile with a first upper track and a second track arranged below the first track, a conveyor chain which is continuously movable in the first track of the rail profile in a conveying direction, a holding adapter for holding objects to be conveyed, each holding adapter having a head part which is rollably supported in the second track of the rail profile, wherein the holding adapters can be coupled and decoupled from the conveyor chain during movement of the conveyor chain, wherein the first rail profile has a sorting section with a separation unit and a switch which follows in conveying direction, wherein the second track in the region of the sorting section is configured as downward slope in conveying direction, in which the distance between the first track and the second track increases to a degree at which the holding adapters and the conveyor chain are decupled from each other, wherein the separation unit and the switch are arranged in a region of the sorting section at which the holding adapters are decoupled from the conveyor chain.
