Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle utilizing a LiDAR sensor system for driver assistance systems. A composition consisting of a thermoplastic material based on polycarbonate is used here for forming the substrate layer of a cover for the sensor with respect to the surroundings. The cover has a polysiloxane-based topcoat layer comprising a combination of organically modified silane with a silica sol, the silicon dioxide having a d90 particle size of less than 0.50 micron, in order to achieve high abrasion resistance and weathering stability.
