A flooring assembly comprising a plurality of flooring units each unit comprising a first stability core layer having a top surface, a bottom surface and a plurality of edge surfaces, at least two of the edge surfaces having an interlocking mechanism for attachment to the edge surfaces of the first stability core of adjacent flooring units; a sound attenuating acoustic layer attached to the top surface of the first stability core layer; a second stability core layer attached to the top surface of the acoustic layer and having a top surface, a bottom surface and a plurality of edge surfaces, at least two of the edge surfaces having an interlocking mechanism for attachment to the edge surfaces of the second stability core of adjacent flooring units; and a finish layer attached to the top surface of the second stability core layer, wherein (1) each of the layers is polygonal, and the assembly of flooring units is attachable to a surface of a structure.

A set of essentially identical floorboards each including a front face and a rear face extending in the horizontal plane, a core, and a surface layer, a mechanical locking system is arranged at least at two opposite edges for connecting a floorboard with an adjacent floorboard in a horizontal and a vertical direction, said mechanical locking system being configured for connecting the floorboard with the adjacent floorboard by vertical folding, wherein one of said opposite edges is provided with a horizontally extending protrusion at an upper edge, and wherein said protrusion is configured to overlap a surface groove at an upper edge of the other of said opposite edges, such that two connected and adjacent floorboards have upper overlapping edges.

A connection surface that is disposed on at least a portion of a face of a structural unit comprises a first convex surface and a first concave surface arranged substantially along a first line. The shape of the first concave surface is complementary to the shape of the first convex surface. A second convex surface and a second concave surface are arranged substantially along a second line that is substantially parallel to the first line. The shape of the second concave surface is complementary to the shape of the second convex surface. The concave-convex order of the second line is reversed relative to the first line, such that the second convex surface corresponds with the first concave surface and the second concave surface corresponds with the first convex surface.

The rectangular floor panel comprises a core of timber material, a decorative layer on the top and pairs of opposite side edges with complementary form-fitting hooked profiles. A receiving hook facing the lower side of the floor panel and a retaining hook located on the opposite side edge and facing the top side of the floor panel. The receiving and retaining hooks are provided with a distal side surface, one having at least one projecting interlocking element and another having an associated receiving pocket. The retaining hook is lockable with the receiving hook by vertical movement. The interlocking element and the top side of the floor panel are separated by at least one gap corresponding to one third the total thickness of the floor panel.

Laminated flooring panels include decorative motifs, mechanically embossed-in-registration surface textures, recessed perimeters, and locking mechanisms. The locking mechanisms facilitate the alignment of adjacent flooring panels. Adjacent flooring panels substantially aligned allow embossed-in-registration patterns to be substantially continuous across adjacent flooring panels. The recessed perimeter prevents the edges of the flooring panel from prematurely wearing.

A board comprised of a wood structure having a first surface, a second surface, a first lateral edge, a second lateral edge and opposing ends. Sound attenuating elements embedded within the wood structure and stiffening elements positioned within the wood structure to coincide with the location of floor joist to which the board will be secured. The boards further forming a ceiling/floor structure by laying a single set of the boards adjacent to each other and securing them to the floor joists.

Disclosed is a device for connecting and locking building boards comprising a top face (10) and a bottom face (11), especially floor panels (1, 2) that are provided with a core made of a wood material as well as a groove (3, 4; 5, 6; 18, 19) on two opposite lateral edges (I, II). Said building boards further comprise an insert (7; 8; 9) that is used for locking and can be inserted into the groove (3 or 4; 5, 6; 18, or 19) of one of the lateral edges (I, II). The boards (1, 2) are connected by displacing the boards in an essentially horizontal direction (Q) towards each other. The inventive device is characterized in that the insert (7; 8; 9; 17) is provided with at least one springy lip (7a, 8a; 9a; 17a) which extends towards the top face (10) or the bottom face (11).
