Abstract: A compressor swash plate includes a base member having a flat plate shape, and a coating layer formed on a surface of the base member and having projections formed in a linear shape, in which the following inequalities are satisfied when a plane part formed on a prism is pressed against the coating layer with a pressure of 30 MPa: 0.01≤B≤0.06 and 10≤S≤40, where B indicates widths (mm) of surfaces of the projections in contact with the plane part, and S indicates a percentage (%) of a total sum of an area Si of the contact surfaces (a gross area of the surfaces of the projections in contact with the plane part) relative to a reference area (an area of a part of the coating layer against which the plane part is pressed).

Abstract: A double-headed piston type swash plate compressor includes a rotation shaft, a housing, a swash plate, two cylinder bores, a double-headed piston, and two shoes. The double-headed piston includes two shoe holders, a neck, two heads, and two coupling portions. Each of the coupling portions includes an outer portion and an inner portion. A direction orthogonal to both of an opposing direction of the inner portion and the outer portion and the axial direction of the double-headed piston is referred to as a widthwise direction. The inner portion includes a narrow portion and a wide portion. The wide portion projects out of the narrow portion in the widthwise direction and has a larger width than the narrow portion. An outer surface of the wide portion is slidable on a wall surface of the corresponding cylinder bore when the double-headed piston reciprocates in the cylinder bores.

The compressor further includes a partition member, a movable member, and a control pressure chamber, and a control mechanism. First and second seal members are disposed between the partition member and the movable member and between the drive shaft and the movable member, respectively, and are elastically deformed to provide sealing between the control pressure chamber and the swash plate chamber. At least one of a clearance formed between the partition member and the movable member and a clearance formed between the drive shaft and the movable member when the swash plate is at its minimum inclination angle is greater than when the swash plate at a maximum inclination angle position.

Abstract: A control valve according to one embodiment includes a shaft that transmits the solenoidal force to a valve element. A solenoid includes a bottomed sleeve into which the pressure of refrigerant is introduced, a core secured coaxially to the sleeve, a plunger, contained in the sleeve on its bottom side, which is displaceable integrally with the shaft in a direction of axis line, a first spring that applies the biasing force in a valve opening direction to the shaft, a second spring that applies the biasing force in a valve closing direction to the plunger, and a shaft support member, which is press-fitted such that the shaft support member is secured to an inner wall of the sleeve near its bottom portion. The second spring is set between the shaft support member and the plunger. One embodiment therefore ensures high pressure resistance at a mounting part where a control valve is mounted in a variable displacement compressor.
