    Abstract: An integration device is configured to integrate two data tables each having at least one row of data elements having comparability in magnitude as a first data table and a second data table. Uniqueness is determined with respect to each of data elements of the first data table. Upon finding uniqueness, the integration device determines the lower-limit position, at which a row of the second data table can be added to the lowermost row of the first data table after ascending sorting, in conformity with an ascending order of sorting. The integration device determines integration-target rows when the data element of the row of the second data table matches the data element of the next row to the lower-limit position of the first data table after ascending sorting, thus generating an integrative data table to integrate integration-target rows with the first data table and the second data table.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to pre-seeding test databases in a computing environment for software testing. A system manages a pool of pre-seeded databases to serve user devices with different database requirements for their integration testing needs. Pre-seeded databases can be served more efficiently over empty databases that are populated client-side. From a user perspective, databases appear ready instantly, ready for use as part of testing software using the pre-seeded databases as a stand-in for production data. Pre-seeding databases circumvents the issues of wasted time and potential error that are otherwise possible when databases are served and populated client-side. Pre-seeding data mitigates the need to seed the database during test-time, reducing the integration test cycle for software being tested. Aspects of the disclosure provide for real-time restoration of databases by fixing portions of the database in place instead of outright deletion and recreation of an entire database.

    Abstract: Techniques are provided for analyzing user actions that have occurred over a time period. The user actions can be, for example, with respect to the user's navigation of content or interaction with an application. Such user data is provided in an action string, which is converted into a highly searchable format. As such, the presence and frequency of particular user actions and patterns of user actions within an action string of a particular user, as well as among multiple action strings of multiple users, are determinable. Subsequences of one or more action strings are identified and both the number of action strings that include a particular subsequence and the frequency that a particular subsequence is present in a given action string are determinable. The conversion involves breaking that string into a sorted list of locations for the actions within that string. Queries can be readily applied against the sorted list.

    Abstract: A computer measures for each column in many rows, a respective frequency of statements that filter the column in a workload of database statements, a respective count of distinct values used for filtration on the column in each statement individually, a respective frequency of each of the counts of distinct values used for filtration on the column across all of the database statements, and a respective value range of the column for each of many storage zones. A respective efficiency is measured for each of many distinct interleaved sorts. Each interleaved sort uses a respective distinct subset of the columns. Each interleaved sort is based on portions of each of the values for each row in a sampled subset of rows in each column of the subset of the columns of the interleaved sort. Efficiency measurement is based on frequencies of statements, value ranges of columns for each storage zone, and frequencies of counts of distinct values.
